And weiss hated silence with a passion. It reminded her of home. The cold mansion,the coldness of her family.
Her mom dead, her father a complete asshole. Her brother and her not on good terms. And there was winter. Even she to a point left her. But she left her little brother.. She grunted displeasure coursing through her. Ruby was the one who got her riled up so she wouldn't be thinking of home. She threw her head set at the wall.

And there the red head sat not even a foot away. To say weiss wasn't startled by her sudden outburst was a lie but she was use to yelling. Simply not by her.
She was bubbly happy go lucky ruby.

She plopped right next to her. Her knees up to her chest. Waiting for her partner to speak.
Ruby simply ignored her.
The heiress didn't take kindly to that. She was the one who did the ignoring. A growl rose in her throat. "Ruby...?"
That was it. Speaking her name ruby launched herself onto her and broke into tears.
She was stunned. Laying on the floor like a log, feeling the younger girl sob into her chest.

Weiss's thoughts raced quickly "what was wrong? Was it zwei? Her dad? Her sister? Blake? Someone else? Me????" She wrapped her arms around the red heads waist. She was shaking, she tried so hard not to. Touch being foreign she held her breath. It felt like she was ripping her apart.Bringing a shaky hand up to the girls head, in attempts to sooth the sobbing girl. She put her hand through her hair.

Minutes passed and rubys sobbing had turned to hiccups here and there. She swallowed roughly. "So..."
Ruby's response was to only bury herself deeper into weiss's neck.
She sighed. Never the less holding her tight.
Was she doing this right? How do you sooth someone who was crying?
How do you make someone stop crying?
Do you cover there mouth? No... That just makes the noise muffled.

Weiss tried to sit her up only to have her cry more. "I uh.. Ruby look, I'm staying right here" she held her tighter "I'm not leaving,dolt."

"Sorry i was just thinking of my mom. And i took it out on you.." ruby blurted out.

"Oh.."

"Yea.... Sorry that im clingy. I'll-" she tried to get up only to be stopped by the heiress.

"Lets just stay here."

"Really? On the floor?" Surprise over took her "i didn't think you of all people would do that."

Weiss scrunched her face "rich doesn't mean you have everything, besides we're here already"
A flick to the forehead "dolt"

"Heh" she rubbed the slightly wounded area. "Just like a sleepover" she wrapped her arms around the heiress. Only met with slight resistance of a blushing white haired beauty.

"Ruby we literally have a "sleep over" whenever you feel like it.

"But this times different. You wanna sleep with me"

Weiss covered her face. A blush reaching down her neck. Ruby quickly following.

"As friends!... Wait no! As you know.you kno-"

"Just go to sleep ruby." She muttered extending a hand to yank her blanket off her bed and covered them both as best they can.

"Uh..yea.."

Ruby tried. She really did. But it was already 2 and she wasn't really tired.
"Weiss?"

"Hm?"

"I can't sleep."

"I can. G'night."

Flabbergasted ruby faced her pinching the heiress' cheeks. "If i can't sleep then neither can you!" Weiss only grunted in response. " you said you would be the best teammate. So stay up with me! Weissy!"
