chapter 16 injury

She wants to die. The pain is hard to ignore. She feels her whole stomach throb.
She laid flat like a log, any and all moment hurt. It was dark. She was sure she was dreaming. She started thinking of things to pass the time. In her dream state a memory came up.

"What up,mutt?"

She sighed this is gonna be a pain in the butt to recall.

You think?

"Uh... Hello?"

The elder looked at her " are you stupid? Its me, ricky" he hits her on the head with a stick.

"Ow! What was that for?" Her hand rubbed the already swollen bump.
She hissed "rick."

He glared at her "ricky" he corrected. He bent down on all fours "hurry up and change."

So she did not without complaining first. She felt weird, but she also felt nice. Free. Yes she felt free. "Now what?..... Rick"

He muttered a couple things "you know that makes me feel old right? Ricky R-i-c-k-y. fucking bitch."

She shrugged it didn't affect her. Her father called her worse things it was also what you called a female wolf. But weiss never liked that.

He had set an obstacle course. When she completed she had to change back. She couldn't so she ran until she exhausted herself. And she became naked In front of thé elder. She yelled.

"Shut up! You act like I've never seen you naked!...... Ow!" He rubs his forehead where weiss had just thrown a rock at. "Yesh... Not that big of a deal. You don't even have boobies. You cereal box"

She gasped, she had never been insulted like that before. She wasn't..that insecure of her.. Chest. "Shut up!" She crossed her arms her face flared up in half embarrassment and anger

"Zack! Zack!!! "

He ran inside the hospital room looking at the heiress throwing up black blood.And ruby holding her mouth in shock. She wanted to turn but couldn't.

Zack did what he could to lay her back. But she had shoved him off. "Give me a sec. Being in a bed is making me feel disgusting." She turned, her ears droop down making eye contact with Ruby. She turned away. "Zack... Could you... Just.. Not to make you be in any hurry but please just make the damn medicine"

He crossed his arms "aye aye Captain" and walked off, not before adding "take these pills" he pointed to the counter "it'll help repair most of the damage... I think."

Awkward silence filled the air.
Or maybe that's what she hoped.

She heard her partner sniff. "Oh no.." She thought depressingly. She didn't know how to handle people crying. She froze up. Was she supposed to turn? Get up. And go hug her? How could she in this state? Would she feel gross touching her? She gulped. Her thoughts had clearly ignored the sobbing of the younger girl. Auto pilot took over.

Ruby covered her eyes with her hands. Trying to magically stop the tears or shove them up where they came from.
Weiss wrapped an arm around the red heads hair bring her close and a second rubbing circles on her back. She felt her clench her clothing in her hands, in desperate attempt to have weiss closer to her. Weiss didn't care, whatever made her feel better.

Blood shot eyes looked up at baby blue eyes. She quickly averted her gaze and sighed.
"Are you ok?"

"Yea.." It was a lie.
