Chapter 23: mood change

She waked up to weiss soft breathing. Brushing her white bangs out if the way she takes in a deep breath. Weiss usually woke up first. It was kinda like a dream. She gently brushes her thumb against the heiresses face. Bags under her eyes, ruby had always found it weird how weiss used make-up. She was pretty with out it. But she did know one thing about it. It wasn't good to sleep over night with it. She dabs lotion onto a peice of toilet paper and begins to wipe away. Weiss doesn't even struggle too deep in sleep to even notice. When she's all clean she lays back down. It blinks to be 3 am. She doesnt want to think about what rick told her. It simply makes no sense. She was what weiss was... Right?
At least partly her mom was. Did she ignore her birthday? Yes. Sorta. She went in and out. She knew weiss scent. Like not humanly but wolfy? Ruby sighed. "Does that even make sense?"

She snuggled deeper into her partner she felt lonely in a way. Maybe it was the doubt bouncing around in her head. She sighed, yes she did want to die.

When she awoke again, weiss was already up. The B.Y of the team no where to be seen. She sighed "up and at em" she saw weiss' eyes shift to her in the mirror. She gave a small smile, only for weiss to scoff.

"What was her deal?" She cocked an eyebrow. Weiss had these mood swings where she just.. Reverted back to her old self. It hurt. She frowned still being watched in the mirror.

"Yes ruby?"

"Did i do something?"

"No."

Scratching the back of her head she stepped in front of her "weiss?"
The older girl looked down, ruby must 've missed something. She seemed even shorter than the other time they saw each other. " what's wrong?" She tried to put her hand on weiss' cheek, feeling heat practically attack her, she tried to move in faster. only to get it slapped off. Ruby wasn't senstive per say..
But getting her hand whipped away like that stung. She immediately turned away. "Oh." She rubbed the spot that was hit and closed the bathroom door. When she did she heard a smack and a growl. She was lost.

Professor ozpin called them to a mission in a forest just barely outside of the kingdom.

Every touch seemed to make weiss sick. She noted. When ruby tripped weiss only used what was necessary to help her up. No lingering touches, no "your welcome" or "be careful dolt".

Ruby simply limped behind weiss. Hurt, unhappy, slightly aching in her neither regions. Why wasn't weiss paying attention to her? They also needed to talk, when would they.

(Guys plz for the sake of the story pretend this works lmao. I know nothing of make up. I don't remember whats going on. Im yk dumb. Oh and its been awhile because family probs that never seem to end lol.)

The time seem to pass be so easily and they had to stay in a cabin together two room. Two beds.

Ruby hated sleeping alone especially now that she got use to having weiss by her side.

"Weiss?"

The white hair beauty only hummed in annoyance.

"Never mind..."

If weiss could stab herself she would but regenerating wouldnt let her bleed out.
"Ruby its okay. If you're worried about rick or luke or whatevers out there. It's o-okay" ruby simply rushed into her arms.
Weiss sighed, "im not mad"

"Then?"

"Just thinking, i need space"

And space she got, ending up regretting the decision because the redheaded girl hadn't visited her. It was 1:24 am. She sighed. More grimm were in this area but stations were put out and professor port had caught yang and blake off so they had to stay at a different location.
She looked at the moon it was "full". She hasn't transformed which was rare. Yes she had control over it but sometimes it would take her.

The door knob slightly turns, and a head pops out.

"Weiss?"

Relieved at seeing her partner, she turned away flustered "i thought u were sleeping."

Ruby bashfully ended up kicking away an invisible rock. " i... Well. I miss you"

Weiss chuckled "ruby please I'm in the room right next to..." She turned to see ruby "you.." Her voice trailing off.

She could already see the tear stains the moon light let her see. "Ruby?" She gently brought her over to sit on the bed. "What happened?"

"Nothing, my body hurts" weiss could hear all rubys bones clicking and clacking "oh. Yea I'm sorry."

"Does it usually hurt this bad?" Weiss nodded laying her down.

"It'll be better in a bit just gotta ride it out."

"I'm horny" she blurted out.

Weiss stared wide eyed. Ruby clung to her "please"

She licked her suddenly dry lips, "ruby... I.."

Well she was certainly in a predicament. Her wolf side wasn't gonna complain to pleasure her mate.

But her human side. Is rational wouldn't dare kiss her without a clear head.
