I quickly slipped into the room, instantly noticing the lack of Iruka's presence. As I walked past a few rows of desks, an arm reached out and grabbed my wrist. I looked over my shoulder to see Sasuke, making eye contact.

"Your hands are cold, Uchiha-san." I quietly told him, causing his eyes to dart away.

"Hn."

He let go, and I took the seat next to him.

"Hey! Who do you think you are!"

"You're not going to come in and swoop Sasuke-kun's attention, you slut!" I crinkled my nose, instantly picturing my sister towering over me with her tanto in hand.

"Shut up, will you?" A new voice spoke from behind me. I turned my head to see the Nara boy, clearly not impressed. "You're making both of them uncomfortable." I sent him a small twitchy smile, in which his face turned red and turn away.

"Alright! Sit down now!" Iruka rushed into the room, causing the girls to go their seats.

"We will now start the final exam. When your name is called, proceed to the texting room."

Slowly, kids exited the class. I was about to drift off when I heard a scream.

"YOU FAIL!"

"EHHH?"

A few kids snickered, to which I frowned.

"Akiha Kaede, please come to the testing room." I stood up and pushed in my chair, going to the smaller room.

"It's okay if you can't do it, Akiha. The Hokage wi-" I cut him off by making clones from my wood release.

"It's okay, Sensei. I'm capable." Iruka's face went from absolute shock to a warm smile.

"Congratulations, you passed!" Iruka said as the other chunin tossed me a headband. I nodded my head and left the room, going outside.

"KYAA! KAKASHI-SENPAI" A large group of women squealed, surrounding the man I've grown acquaintances with.

"Akiha-chan, over here." He fought through the crowd to reach me. He smiled, ruffling my hair.

"Good job, kid." He said.

"Thank you, Hatake-san."

"A-ah, Kakashi is fine, Akiha..." I nodded.

I saw the brooding boy out of the corner of my eye, walking towards me and the jonin. I looked up to Kakashi, in which he nodded.

"Ja ne, kid." He did a hand sign and disappeared.

Sasuke grabbed my wrist yet again, not saying a thing, and quickly walked off towing me along with him. After walking for a few minutes, we reached a pond.

"What the hell happened to you?" He growled, making my eyes widen.

"W-wha?"

"You just pop out of thin air on our last days, claiming you know high ranked jutsus with random jonin ranked ninja following you around everywhere?" He looked down at my legs.

"Not to mention the scars on you." I frowned.

I took a breath, pulling my sweater down.

"People didn't like me too much." I said, causing him to raise his eyebrow.

"M-my siblings wanted the kekkai genkai I received from my mother's side. They were also jealous of my Kaede descents. When I found out that my siblings didn't share the same father that I had, my mother went ballistic thinking I would spread it around." I smiled.

"Long part shortened, my mother went on tangents to get other villagers to hate me... I was only four, yet knew more about mostly everything than my siblings who were three years older than me."

"They didn't like that?" Sasuke asked.

"Not in the slightest." I glanced away, then stuck out my pinkie. "P-promise me that you won't tell anybody about what I'm about to say!" He smirked, interlocking pinkies.

"You're childish."

"I know." I giggled. "It only went from bad to worse, once my village elders decided to seal Mishu within me, the No-Tailed Snow Owl." The ravens eyes widened.

"This whole time, my father was gone on a 12 year mission. Thank god he finished almost a year early, as I was about to d-die the day he found me."

"Hn?"

"My siblings were chasing me down with weapons. I ended up running into him, s-so we packed up and left." He nodded.

"Why do you know so many jutsu?"

"I used to s-sneak out a lot. Every night I was chained up, so I would just m-make a key out of wood and go to the library. I met a lot of really cool people, too." Before Sasuke could respond, someone called my name.

"Akiha, there you are! We've gotta get you home, right now!" Iiseo-Senpai appeared from behind a tree, causing me to deadpan.

"I-it's still bright out."

"B-but-" I cut him off, staring him in the eyes. He started to sweat.

"Okay fine..." I thought he was gonna walk off. "But if you tell your dad I'll-"

I cut him off again, Sasuke smirking. "Do nothing, as you're t-terribly frightened of my father."

He froze, bug-eyed.

"Hn. Let's go." Sasuke said, walking away, yet again towing me. The only thing different was that he wasn't clinging to my wrist, no.

He was holding my hand.
