Author's note: So, I think I finally have a storyline going on, but not on this chapter! (maybe)
After sleeping alone for so long, Rythian was used to not see someone(especially a girl) sleeping next to him, Rythian was shocked that Zoey was sleeping next to him and he accidentally fell off the hammock.
Even with the loud thud Zoey remained asleep, She must be a heavy sleeper Rythian thought. He picked himself up and went outside for some fresh air. It was a starry night, not too cloudy, with a full moon shining upon the area. The mage took a deep breath and scanned the area around him, taking in the beautiful view. He looked up and saw a green figure climbing down the ladder, his first mate, Tee, was about to take his nightly snack when he saw Rythian was awake(again). He poked the mage and gestured to him in a Why are you awake? way.
The mage just gives him a shrug. It was obvious that he was insomniac and had always been like this in most nights.
The door to the cabin swung and revealed a half-asleep Zoey staggering towards them. She rubbed her red eyes and gave out a long yawn.
"Why are you guys awake? Especially you Rythian." She says in a surprisingly cheerful voice but low voice.
"Tee's on lookout duty and is just taking his nightly snack, and I'm apparently Insomniac."
"Oh, okay, how long till' we reach Tortuga?"
"About three more days."
Rythian leads the drowsy Zoey back to the cabin and helps her up the hammock. He climb up and pushes Zoey to make room then lied on the hammock and closed his eyes, hoping to have a good night's sleep. He felt the warmth of her hands and body caressed him and helped him sleep.
Next morning, Zoey got up and found Rythian already up and about(as usual). She got out of the hammock and into her leather boots. On the deck, she saw mops and brooms moving about by themselves, which scared her a bit, sails un-furled and other usual stuff that needed to be tended to on a ship.
Rythian was on the helm keeping the ship on course and was watching the girl stay stiff of the sight of brooms and mops. He ordered one of the mops to clean the place where Zoey was and cause her to let out a squeal and she hid behind Rythian like a scared child.
"Not funny! Stop it!" She shouted to the mage.
"Okay, okay, I'll stop." He lets out a small chuckle.
Zoey stomped her way into the galley which she surprisingly found clean and tidy and found food already served in pots. "Ugh, meat." She mutters while taking a piece of jerky from the pot.
Up in the deck, in the lookout post, Tee gestured to Rythian that there was an island up ahead.
"We're here." He ordered the sails to furl themselves and he manoeuvred the ship into the island's small dock.
The 'small' thud when the ship bumped into the dock caused Zoey to immediately come up to the deck.
"Is this Tortuga? quite small for a pirate hideout."
"It isn't Zoey, it's just the small village of Newpool, we're here to re-supply, we're running out of fuel and food, maybe we can even buy you some bread or potatos."
As soon as the trio entered the village a man in a white coat greeted them. Rythian told him that he wished to buy supplies from them. the man led them to different shops and people.
Zoey split from the group and began playing with the children in a game of Hopscotch. They arrived in what seemed to be a farm.
"Be careful Zoey!" Zoey just gives him a thumbs up.
