There's More To You Than You Let On

Chapter 16: Christmas

Hermione, Draco, and Ginny woke up early in order to open their presents. They ran downstairs like little kids and sat down by the grand Christmas tree. They were laughing excitedly, talking about what they'd hoped they'd gotten. They waited as patiently as they could for Narcissa to wake up. But as time went on they got more impatient, especially Draco. He'd never had a proper Christmas due to the fact Lucius Malfoy didn't approve of anything 'childish'. "MOTHER! COME ON! ITS CHRISTMAS!" Draco hollered, startling Hermione and Ginny, along with the two kind house elves who had brought them hot chocolate. "Sorry," He mumbled with a sincere smile at them. The two girls eventually broke into giggles as the house elves cleaned up the spilled drinks with smiles on their faces. Draco had joined in the laughter and all three of them were rolling around the floor clutching their stomach, unable to catch their breaths. They were too busy laughing they hadn't noticed Narcissa descend from upstairs and sit comfortably on the couch behind them.

As they finally calmed down, Narcissa cleared her voice making them look at her in shock. "Now that you've finished, shall we start with the presents?" She asked nonchalantly while taking a sip of her hot chocolate. They all smiled and nodded before passing out all the presents to the corresponding person.

Draco had 10 presents, one each from Narcissa, Ginny, Blaise, Theo, Pansy, Astoria, and Luna, along with three from Hermione.

Ginny had 14. One from her mum and dad, one from each of her brothers (except Ron), Blaise, Theo, Pansy, Astoria, Luna, Dean, and Narcissa, along with two from Hermione.

Narcissa had 6. She had two each from Draco and Hermione and another from Ginny. She also had a gift from Teddy.

Hermione was unsure about the amount of presents she had. She had one each from Narcissa, Ginny, Blaise, Theo, Astoria, Pansy, Luna, Neville, Dean, Seamus, Mr and Mrs Weasley, George, Fleur and Bill, and Teddy. Then their was a large pile of presents from Draco. She sighed at the stack of gifts and looked at Draco to see him smiling cheekily.

"DRAAACCCOOO!" Hermione whined.

"What? Is there not enough? Oh no. I'm so sorry. I'll go out as soon as the shops open again and buy you more-" she cut him off by kissing him passionately.

"Do. Not. Buy. Me. Any. More. Things," She stated. "Ever."

"But I like to buy you nice things," He pouted. She rolled her eyes at him and shoved him jokingly. He grabbed her arm and pulled her closer to him. As he leaned in she suddenly got the urge to vomit. She jumped up and ran to the bathroom. Draco followed her and held her hair back as she threw up. After she finished she flushed the toilet and washed her mouth out with water.

"Morning sickness's a bitch," Hermione mumbled.

"Well thank you for your sacrifice," Draco said as he lifted her shirt and kissed her stomach. "Do you know how far along you are?"

"Only a few weeks I think," She said.

"Makes sense," He joked making Hermione laugh. They walked out of the bathroom and sat back down on the floor with Ginny.

They each took turns opening presents but Hermione still had a stack left from Draco. She sighed and began to open them as everyone watched. Draco had gotten her so many expensive things, mostly jewelry, clothes and books. Once she finished she had about 10,000 gallons worth of things sitting around her.

"Oh, Draco. You didn't have to get me all of this. I would have been happy with just one book," Hermione said as she hugged him tightly.

"But you still like them?" He asked. "Are you happy?"

"I love them," She said as she pecked him on the lips. "But you don't have to spend so much money on things to make me happy. I'll always be happy if I have you." He smiled and kissed her passionately. As the kiss got more heated, Narcissa and Ginny left them alone, cause it didn't seem like they were pulling away any time soon.
