Veronica was very thirsty. She needed some water. She opened the fridge, but there was no water to be found. "Where is the water?" she asked. "I want some water!"
"Try drinking water from the sink, honey," said her mom, reading the newspaper.
"I don't want water from the sink!" protested Veronica. I want water from the supermarket! And, I want it, now!"
"Maybe, if you ask nicely, I'll get you some!" said her mom. "You ever heard of the word please?"
"Duh, of course!" said Veronica. "Please get me some water from the supermarket!"
"That's better!" said her mom. "I'll be back, sweetheart!" And so, her mom left for the supermarket to get her some water.
