Jackie slowly backed away from the person, and hid behind one of the many book shelves. He put a hand over his mouth to quiet his breathing.

He peeked his head around the shelf. He could see the figure clearly now, seeing as they were sitting on the couch. They were wearing a gray t-shirt, and black jeans. The front part of their hair was green, the rest looked brown. They had on a gray hat, with a skull on it, and a pink rim. Jackie couldn't see his face, as it was buried in their hands. If he had to guess, he would say the person was male. The man seemed to be . . . crying?

Jackie debated coming out from his hiding spot, but then the man lifted his face. 'Oh my god, is he . . . bleeding!?' The man was heavily bleeding from his head.   He looked as if he had been shot. He quickly pulled his head back into his space behind the shelf.

Jackie could still hear sobs coming from him. But they seemed to be. . . fading? When the sniffles finally stopped, he looked out again.

The man was gone. Jackie slowly walked out from behind the book case. "Okay then. That was. . . strange?" He questioned.

Carefully, Jackie walked back over to the coffee table. There was another book on it now. It was a small black leather book that looked to be old. Extremely old. Jackie opened the cover, the spine of the book cracking in response.

Before he could read it, he heard the weeping again. Slowly he turned around. The man was back. And he looked angry.
