Mokuton no Naruto

Chapter 5: the Test of the Monkeys

Konohamaru asks, "So... Do you want to go first, or should I go first?"

Naruto just shrugs. The tree, you ask? Well the tree is a humongous oak tree. You know the kind that houses huge cities, and villages. The ones that become tourist destinations. Where people come from all over just to climb it, and want to see the view from the top of the tree.

Naruto then says, "It's big enough around for us to both climb at the same time. So why not climb at the same time. We would want to take up two legendary people's time. Now would we, Konohamaru?"

Konohamaru asks, "On three?"

Naruto says, "Sure! 3... 2... 1... GO!"

Naruto, and Konohamaru rush towards the tree. Naruto is obviously way faster than Konohamaru. Konohamaru is younger, and hasn't trained seriously, like at all. When Naruto got near the tree, he jumps up using the bottom most branch as a boost to get to the ones above it.

While Konohamaru isn't that graceful, as he climbs a tree like you'd expect from an eight year old. Naruto even grew some branches from the tree to help, when Konohamaru couldn't reach the next branch.

Naruto reached the mid-way point very easily. Konohamaru is halfway towards the mid-way point. Hiruzen then asks, "How's the climb?"

Naruto answers, "Just peachy, Jiji. Anyway, the Gaki is halfway here. Bye." The Uzumaki the jumps to a branch, and swings around it a couple times, shooting himself a quarter of the way up, past the half-way point.

An hour later, and Konohamaru gets to the half-way point. Hiruzen says, "Good job on making it far Konohamaru, but you still have quite a ways to go. From my estimation, Naruto is almost at the top."

Another hour has passed, and Konohamaru has just made it half-way between the mid-way point, and the top. While Naruto got to the top in half an hour. When Naruto got to the top, Enma says, "Congratulations Naruto. You have passed the test to become a Summoner of the Monkey Clan."

Enma then summons a scroll. He says, "Now all you have to do is sign your name in blood, and then stamp your fingertips under your name. Once you have done that I'd like for you to summon one of us."

He then bits his thumb open, and goes through some hand seals. Boar → Dog → Bird → Monkey → Ram. Naruto then slams his hand on the ground, and yells, "Kuchiyose no Jutsu (Summoning Technique)!"

In a puff of smoke, a small white chimpanzee, with black markings around his eyes appears. He wears a yellow, sleeveless kimono-shirt with white fur trimmings and mesh armour underneath, secured with a red belt and black wristbands. He also wears a black bandanna with a Konoha hitai-ate on it and has a tuft of hair styled in a ponytail sticking out from behind it.

Enma says, "This is Enra, my grandson. He'll be your personal summon from the Monkey Clan. Enra will teach you what it means to be a Summoner of the monkey clan. Once you both are ready for it, I'll teach both of you about Senjutsu, and Sage Mode."

Enra looks at the blonde, and asks, "Jiji, is he a Sarutobi?"

Enma answers, "No, Enra he isn't a Sarutobi. This is Naruto Uzumaki."

Naruto then says, "Like Enma said Enra, I'm Naruto Uzumaki, the son of the Yondaime Hokage, and the user of Mokuton."

Enra smiles, "I like you Mokuton no Naruto! I'm sure we'll be the best of friends."

Naruto replies, " I'm just as sure, Enra."

Enra then says, "Summon me tomorrow, and we'll get started." The chimpanzee then returns to Saru no Omori (Great Forest of the Monkeys).

When Konohamaru gets to the top of the tree, he does the same thing, but with a different monkey. Naruto then uses his chakra the shrink the tree, and in seconds, it was like a tree wasn't even there. Enma then tells Hiruzen of the good news, that the Monkey Clan would soon find.
