At last, he said: "Andarin, all of us are getting worried about you. You've been for almost two years, and then you return, and now that you're back, you don't even stay with us for long and are whisked off again to more business with the Erglis."
On one hand, that's a very good point, this has been a lot. On the other hand, andarin is an adult.
Andarin looked up from his hands and into his father's face. He wasn't quite sure how to respond. He'd figured that his family would be upset about his sometimes questionable activities, and he'd also figured that they'd confront him about it sooner or later. Astlo didn't even know for certain what exactly his older brother was doing; only that he was involved in a top secret group and that he wasn't allowed to say anything about it to anyone.
Andarin considered all this and felt guilty. His family didn't deserve that: never being quite sure what exactly their son was doing, or where he was.
he's right. adult though he be, they don't deserve that
