Sam stared at the body beside him. Kevin was dead. He couldnt move. He didnt know what he was feeling, anger? Fear? Trauma, mostly likely all. Sam could hear the sirens coming closer as he was held tightly by Jack.
The next day
We sat in the waiting room. Jades nose was getting checked out. It was broken, of course. The doctor came out and we all sat up.
"Shes fine. Of course, she needs rest. And, also for her to be careful."
Sam sighed as Jade came out, nose purple and her smiling. We got in the car and Jack drove us home. "Jack..."
He looked over to Sam, "yes baby?"
"Is it...is it really over?" A tear fell from his eye.
Jack smiled and wiped his tear, "yes sweetheart, its over. For good."
Sam only cried, tears of joy, but tears of sadness from the experience. Jack only rubbed his back and whispered sweet words to him as they finally got home.
They walked inside only to see Toby, Creel, Manny, Kyle, his parents, his fox and his sisters waiting for him. Mrs. Davidson let out a sob and ran to Sam, hugging him. The rest joined in and Sam laughed slightly. He was so relieved. Happy. They let go of Sam.
"Are you ok?" Mrs. Davidson cupped Sams cheek softly.
Sam nodded.
"Dude. I heard what happened. On the news and, from Beth. We all heard. Are you sure?" Creel looked Sam in the eyes as he nodded once more.
Manny sighed, "heh. I wish my ex was dead. Luckily tho, shes left me alone."
Kyle, "I'm glad you're okay! Even tho we didnt know each other well. You've been through shit."
Sam chuckled.
Sky jumped around happily next to Sam as he pet her.
"Yea he has. But he made it through. Still the brave guy I know." Mr. Davidson smiled proudly.
Lily and Jenny yelled a 'hooray' in unison.
We all laughed and talked the night away. With a few of them getting drunk and giving a few more laughs to the night. Sam sat in Jacks lap. Free from fear of Kevin coming after him. Sam would get over it.
He would let go of the past. It would take time. But he knew he could. And he would.
Beth and Jade started making out as Toby, Creel, Manny and Kyle decided it was finally late and headed home. Mr and Mrs. Davidson decided to stay for the night. Just to make sure. Lily and Jenny ran around with Sky. Who had to stay with them cuz their apartment didnt allow animals, Sam makes sure to visit a lot tho. And they watch Spongebob.
Jack brought Sam closer to him and smiled, "I love you so much kitten." Sam smiled, kissed Jack and hugged him, "I love you too hun...I love you too."
5 years later
Sam:
I am now 23, and Jack was 24, everyone else was about the same age. With our own little baby boy.
Yea, thats right. We adopted! We decided to name him Peter.

Peter nodded his head frantically, "yea yea!"
My sisters were now 16 and my parents were still alive and well. And Sky...sadly, she had passed before my little Peter could meet her. We adopted him two years ago. We thought why not. We were ready. I was working as a professional cook now.
And Jack was now in charge of the zoo. Which, wasnt too bad. I heard a knock at the door.
"Ill get it!" Said Jack
"Alright!" I yelled.
I finished setting up the table for the family. As I heard my sisters voice and a few other familiar voices.
"Uncle Manny!" I heard Peters little voice and I giggled as I head Jenny say, "aw, what about me?"
I walked to where they were and they all ran up to me and Jack. "How my bro and his husbanf been!?" Lily asked.
"We've been really good. You guys?" Jack asked
I heard a few replies and looked at Toby, "I havent seen you in so long, where have you been?"
Toby sighed, "you know where Sam. Fighting off demons and such."
"Of course, I'm glad you could make it tho, Peter has wanted to meet you."
"I could tell" He chuckled as he greeted the little one.
My sisters bombarded me and Jack with questions and I told them there's food in the kitchen to get them to shut up.
Their eyes lightened up and ran for it. Kyle, "your house looks really nice. Makes me wish I could afford such a nice place. How's being a cook? I know you love it."
I smiled, "I'm top chef. And proud of it."
Jack, "and I'm proud of him", he holds my waist and I smile
"Woah really? That's fucking awesome dude!" He high-fived me and went to greet Peter.
My parents walked in and I instantly hugged them, Jade and Beth joined the hug.
We said our hellos and finally, started eating.
Creel, "I have a little announcement."
We all looked over to her.
"So, Toby doesnt even know this. But-" she giggled
"Spit it out already!" Manny shouted, I hushed him.
"Im pregnant! Its twin girls!"
Toby spit out his juice and his eyes sparkled as he looked over to Creel, "are you...are you serious?"
She nodded, and smiled as tears of joy fell from her eyes. Toby hugged her and we all clapped and awed.
After congratulating them my baby boy started asking questions which Creel didnt mind. Manny and Kyle were who knows where.
And the rest of us caught up on everything thats happened in the past year. It felt good to have this family. These friends, who I also consider family. Ive never felt better. And now, I can finally say, for real. That this, Is My Happy Ending.
