Authors note: I just wanted to say sorry for any spelling or grammar mistakes, I try to catch them but sometimes I miss a few. Plus I'm going to change my format by like splitting it into a few different paragraphs rather than one large one. I hope you enjoy!

On our way to our next class (English ) Delilah and I were just talking about how we can't wait to get out of this crappy school.

"Anna I can't believe we're juniors! It feels like just a few days ago you moved to our little town! Time goes by so fast but it's kind of a good thing because I just wanna escape this place and see the whole world."

While Delilah was rambling on and on I kinda just nodded and agreed every once in a while not focusing on her because I was feeling guilty for lying to Delilah about why I moved here. I just told her that my dad got a new job. Even though I had a good reason not to tell her I feel bad because she told me everything and was always honest about everything. She didn't even know Alex isn't my real dad, we don't look alike at all but she never questioned it. Whenever she had questions about my mom I told Delilah that she moved to Africa to help kids who can't afford medicine and she left us here cause I would get a better education here then in Africa. Delilah loved questions so she always asked me the same questions like what is she like, and how is she doing. I always told her she is just like me and that she is feeling great and having a wonderful time saving lives. Yet another lie that I told my best friend that I had to feel guilty about. What actually happened was my dads wife got pregnant but died due to birth malfunctions and a few months later he adopted me to have the child he never could.

" Hey earth to Anna, are you even paying attention!"

" Oh sorry Del I'm just kinda distracted...."

"Thinking about Calum," she said with a smirk.

" He wishes, but no just stuff about my mom, she hasn't been calling me lately." Omg Anna why would you say that your just building upon a pile of lies.

"Awe I'm sorry do you wanna talk about it?"

"Nah, I'm fine," I said with a fake half smile half frown.

Just as that very fake expression left my face we stepped into the English class room and took a seat, the whiteboard said to sit anywhere so me and Delilah decided to sit in the second row a few seats back with me in front of her because of my height.
After a few minutes Calum walked into the class room, he would be in all of my classes knowing my luck. There was plenty of seats open but he sat directly to my left to aggravate me. When I turned my head he just gave me that smirk that made me hate him but it also made go crazy. Why am I even thinking about him I'm supposed to hate him, I guess my theory for hating him changed. Ugh, I hate this, it's driving me crazy.

During English all we did was the same old first day of school stuff like go over the class procedures, review stuff from last year, and talk about the supplies we will need for the class. Every once in a while I would look over my shoulder to see Calum staring at me, I don't know whether to freak out with excitement or be disgusted. Towards the end of the class when the teacher was turned around writing something on the board, Calum threw a scrunched up paper at my head. When I looked over at him he was silently laughing so I just shot him a glare, once he noticed I didn't realize what he was doing he motioned with his hands to open the paper. After a few moments I understood what he was trying to accomplish so I opened the scrunched up paper to read,

" You, me, outside by the flag post before lunch, got it?"

I looked over at Calum contemplating whether or not I should go and finally I nodded yes with my head. All I got in return was that same smirk, does he have any other facial expressions?

The bell rang and I was off to my next class, Spanish. On the way to Spanish Delilah was freaking over the note, thinking it was some big deal, I didn't faze me that much so I just kept walking not really paying attention to her freaking out.

I have always loved Spanish because the teacher was so friendly and he knew me very well because I have been taking Spanish since freshman year.

"¡Hola! La bienvenida a la clase de español de grado undécimo, sentarse donde quiera que te gusta." (Hello! Welcome to eleventh grade Spanish class, sit where ever you like.)

In the Spanish class room the desks were set up in groups of two, obviously me and Delilah sat next to each other, but since the class had an odd number Calum sat by himself in the set of desks behind us. I kinda feel bad I don't think he has very many friends besides the kids he smokes with during lunch, and I don't think Calum considers them to be very good friends because I have noticed they barely even talk while they are smoking. Calum is just one of those kids who never really fit in and didn't make friends very easily.

Again all that happened during Spanish was the teacher doing the three cliche first day of school things, going over class procedures, going over old material, and talking about the supplies we will need to get for the class. As the class started to end I started to get even more nervous because that would mean I am only one class away from having to talk to Calum. I'm assuming he's gonna apologize for that incident from earlier and he wanted to do it in private because he didn't want to ruin his bad boy image. But then again he could of apologized on the paper but whatever.

Once Spanish ended we had algebra. Again the same old boring thing, sitting where ever we want, Delilah and Calum sitting near me, and the teacher going over the three cliche first day of school things. As the end of class was approaching I was internally freaking out because I have no idea what Calum is gonna say, I don't know if I'm nervous, intimidated, or angry at him. A few very quick minutes passed and now it was finally time to meet Calum at the flag pol outside of the school. Since it is always nice in California me and my small group of best friends sit outside on the ground in a circle, unless it was raining then we would sit at a round table that sat eight inside. It has been the same circle for two years and I don't intend on it changing. Delilah told me once I was done to meet her in our signature spot.

I never realized how hot it was outside until I was walking to the flagpole already seeing Calum there.

"Hey Calum," I said waving my hand hello.
