As we walked down the hallway, Josh kept looking out for the first door. He seemed... nervous .
"You okay?"
He seemed like I caught him off guard.
"Oh, yeah. Why?"
"You just seem kinda nervous."
"Well, I kinda am. I've never given a tour before,"
"Yes you have."
"What?"
"You gave me a tour of New York when I first got here."
He laughed.
"Yeah, I guess you're right."
We kept walking until we saw a pair of large doors.
"This is the gym."
Then we walked further and he showed me more places for a long time. An hour maybe?
"And last but not least, Mrs. Smith's room. This is my home room, so if you ever need me, I'll probably be in here. Well, at least I'm the mornings."
"Hey, this is my home room too!"
Josh's eyes lit up.
"Really? That's so cool! Well, then if you ever need me, just walk right up to me."
I giggled a little.
"Okay. I'll probably need help getting around still because this school is so big."
"That's alright. Everyone needs help getting around their first week or two. Oh! Why don't I give you my number so you can just text me if you need me?"
"Oh yeah! Sure, let's do that."
I put my number in his phone, and he put his number in mine.
"Well, we should probably get to class, Maggie."
"Yeah, you're right."
We walked into class, handed Mrs. Smith our passes, and took our seats that were assigned to us.
