I put on some comfy black yoga pants with a light blue sweatshirt that had a purple heart on it. I pulled my hair back into a high ponytail and went downstairs to wait for Anthony.

I had everything we needed. I popped some popcorn, had our beach blanket, brought an extra blanket to keep us warm, and I had my cell phone.

It wasn't long before Anthony cane down the stairs.

"You ready?"

"Yeah. Do you have your computer?"

"Yep. Let's go."

We walked out the door and walked to the beach.

"I can't believe tomorrow is your last day, Mag."

I frowned.

"Yeah, me neither. It's been so fun, but nothing lasts forever I guess."

Anthony stopped walking.

"I wish this could last forever."

I pulled him into a hug.

"So do I, but I know this. You and I are always going to be in each other's lives no matter what. We're best friends and we decide what becomes of us."

I let go.

"I guess so. It's just better when I get to see you all the time. When you're in New York, I feel like you're gone. I mean yeah, you're not here, but that's not what I mean. It's like-"

"It's like you'll never see me again?"

He looked up at me.

"Yeah. You feel it too?"

I grabbed his hand.

"Of course I do. You're my best friend. I feel like-"

"A part of your heart is missing?"

Anthony smirked at me. I knew it was because he felt the exact same way.

"Yeah, but I thought you were popular here now."

Anthony sighed and then gave a little shrug.

"I guess so."

"Doesn't that make up for me not being there?"

He looked at me seriously.

"Nothing could ever patch that hole in my heart."

I blushed a little.

"Well, come on Mag. Let's start this movie night."

"Yeah. Let's make the most of it."

We walked down to our favorite spot and set everything up.

Once everything was ready, Anthony spread the blanket over us and opened his laptop.

"What movie should we watch first, Mag?"

I looked at all the the movie titles.

"Wow, these really are all of our favorites."

Anthony let out a little laugh.

"I know. It'll be a hard decision to make."

I ran my eyes over all of the movie titles and pointed to one.

"How about this one?"

   He smiled.

"Sure."

Anthony clicked on the movie and it started. We pulled the blanket over us and snuggled in close. I put my head on his shoulder as he put his arm around me and squeezed me close.

In that moment, everything was perfect. Just me, Anthony, and the ocean. This was by far my favorite thing in the world. I wish it could be like this forever, but tomorrow is my last day. I have to make the most of every moment.

***

While we were watching the movie, we'd occasionally act out scenes, tell jokes, or sing the songs. It was so fun.

"Do you wanna watch another one, or do you wanna go to my house and do something?"

"We could go to your house. Let's just watch the sun go down first."

"Okay. Are you gonna keep your bed on my shoulder?"

He smiled at me.

"Only if you keep your arm around me."

I smiled.

"Okay, it's a deal."

We gazed out at the sparkling sea. Anthony whispered in my ear,

"I really don't want this to end."

I leaned in closer to him.

"Neither do I."

When the sun was touching the water, I knew that this would forever be my favorite place.

Soon enough, the sun was drowned by the vast ocean. Anthony looked over at me and shook his shoulder a bit.

"Ready to go back? Or will we be spending the night?"

   I laughed.

"Yeah, let's go."

We packed everything up and went back to the house.

Once we were inside, I asked Anthony what we should do next. He grinned and went upstairs.

"Do I follow you?"

"No, stay there!"

I shook my head as I giggled to myself.

He came downstairs with a Bluetooth speaker.

"What do we need that for?"

"I thought we could sing and dance all night to our favorite songs!"

"Oh my god that's a great idea!"

For the whole night, we danced and sang with each other. It was the it's fun I've had in a long time. We didn't fall asleep until 5:00am!
