CHAPTER 8

The worst thing that ever happen to Jacee's life is passed out in front of her new acquaintance. That's really embarrassing!

Wala siya ngayong mukhang maiharap kay Trav pagkatapos ng nangyari.

"You okay?" he sounded worried when he asked her.

They were in the living room eating chips and exchanging question and answers to each other.

"Hmm." she hummed. She look at him."Trav... Thank you"

He smiled at her. "Anytime...by the way I already inform Enn that you are here and he said that I should take care of you or he'll beat me up to death"

Umasim ang mukha ni Jacee sa narinig. Kahit kailan napaka talaga ng bestfriend niya. She can't help but to smile widely on how her best friend take good care of her.

Though he doesn't need to do those things but still he treat her as his precious little sister and she's proud to have him as her best friend.

"Close talaga kayo ano..."

Tumango naman si Jacee sa sinabi ni Trav.

"Freshmen pa lang kami ay close na kaming dalawa. Our parents even have their plans for the two of us but we decline because we both know that we only treat each other as brother and sister." nangingiting kwento niya.

Nakatitig naman sa kaniya si Trav habang nagkukwento siya rito ng mga pinagdaanan nila ni Enn. Yung mga gulo at kalokohan na kinasangkutan nilang dalawa dahil sa kaniya, they became stronger because of the memories they've shared together.

Hindi niya napigilan ang maging madaldal. Every minute that have passed, she became more open to him about the friendship of her and Enn. She slowly getting comfortable in his presence.

TRAV COULDN'T HID the smile trying to escape his lips while staring at the woman in front of him. He never picture this moment with her. His heart keep pounding because of happiness.

"May dumi ba ako sa mukha?" inosenteng tanong ni Jacee sa kaniya.

Umiling siya at bago pa niya mapigilan ang sarili ay kusang kumawala ang mga salitang iyon sa labi niya  "Do you know how beautiful you are?"

He saw how his words made Jacee stunned for a while before she laugh so hard.

"Bakit ka tumatawa? May nakakatawa ba sa sinabi ko?" kunot-noong taning niya rito.

"Nothing" she became serious in an instant and look at him closely. "Do you know how handsome you are?" she asked the same question he asked her.

Her question made his heart got insane and wreck his ribcage as it beats fast. He can feel that his ears heathens so he turn his back and left the living room to get some water in the kitchen.

Fuck! That woman doesn't know how she affect him with her words. He keep on breathing heavily as he calm himself.

When Jacee entered the kitchen and look at him with grinned flashed through her faced.

"That's for teasing me, mr."

Then she walk and get a glass of water and left the kitchen leaving him hanging. Fuck!

When Trav return in the living room Jacee was there grinning from ear to ear as if she just win a fight.

This woman is really something!

"Alam mo madali ka naman palang maka close pero bakit nung college hindi kita nakikita?" she asked him curiously.

Because he always hide from her before he transfer in states.

"Maybe because I'm introvert and only Enn and Hisashi are my friends before I go to states to continue study there"
And I'm afraid you find out that I'm inlove with you and reject me...

He want to add that but choose not too. It is really hard to conceal feelings than reviving the love that is  dead.

"Introvert? Really? Sad to hear that but I think you're not like that anymore" she added.

He smile. "Kind of"

"Sorry to asked this but how did you end up falling for him?"tanong niya rito. Alam niyang hindi ito ang tamang oras para dun pero hindi na niya napigilan ang sarili na magtanong.

Trav observe how it change her emotions. He can see that Jacee is still affected by what happen and she's having a hard time telling him.

"You don't have to answer that.." he said. "I'm just here Jacee, if you need a shoulder to cry and if you need a hug just tell me I am more than willing to hug you.."Because I love you...

Trav smile sadly on his his mind as he pulled Jacee into a hug. Hindi naman umangal si Jacee sa ginawa niya.

"Woah! What you two are doing?!"

Gulat na kumawala sa yakap si Trav saka tumikhim ng makita si Enn na ngising aso habang nakatingin sa kanilang dalawa. He look at his friend as if he's saying 'why the fuck are you grinning like that?! Fucker!'

"Baby! You made me worried sick!" maarteng sabi ni Jay saka niyakap si Jacee.

May ibinulong pa ito sa babae dahilan para kurutin ito ni Jacee sa tagiliran. These two look really close, if he doesn't know they're bestfriends he might misundertood them.

When Jacee pulled out from Jay's hug she became serious. While looking at his friend. Trav just listening to them.

"I'm fine, no need to worry but I have to tell you something important"

Enn's eyebrow raised. "And that is?"

"I'm leaving the country tommorow morning" she said that made Trav's Jaw drop.

She's leaving the country?!

"You sure?" Enn asked Jacee while he was still shocked.

"Nothing can change my mind Enn, let's go I need to tell coach about this and packed my things" she said as she turn her head on him.

Trav froze on his seat as she look at him with a smile on her face. That genuine smile that made him fall for her years ago.

"Thank you for everything Trav, I hope someday we meet and have a good time again" she said that made him smile.

Does she want us to have a good time together again? Fuck! His heart is going crazy again because of her!

JACEE AND ENN came to the Vadquez boxing club with Trav. She saw how his emotions and mood lighten about what she said earlier and it makes her want to tease him.

She's thankful that in a short span of time they meet and he help her a lot. Atleast her heartache is not like the other day but she still want to leave the country to find herself.

She's still lost and she's broke inside. She want to travel on the country she think that will help her a lot to be more self aware and love herself more.

To forget every painful memories on he past relationship and specially the person who made her broke.

Jacee talked to her coach and promised him that she'll be back after two months of vacation. After that she came home to arrange the things she will bring.

Everything is ready. She hope her vacation will end well. She hope to move-on and forget her past.

The morning came and she was already in the plane to Japan. Jacee seated beside the window so she can see the view outside, she thought that she will enjoy it but no!

She's getting annoyed everytime she hear a snore from her side and the worst case is that, the one who keep on snoring put his head on her shoulder making it as a pillow.

She was ready to pull out his head from her shoulder when she saw who it is!

What the hell?!
