WHEN VALENTINA HAD ARRIVED HOME, the sun had setand the streets were empty. She lived in a relatively big house which wasn't uncommon for people who went to her Junior High. Her head was throbbing and her arms were aching.
Whilst on her way home, she had noticed blotchy red marks on her arm which she had received from her Quirk. It was almost as though the backlash of her Quirk was getting worse each time.
As she unlocked her front door, Valentina sighed at the sudden warmth.
Home was bliss.
As she turned around to take off her jacket, she felt someone run into her, causing her to stumble back against the door. Her eyes widened and she felt a pair of arms wrap around her tightly as though they thought Valentina was going to dissipate into the air.
"Oh my God, " She heard the familiar figure murmur, "I was so worried."
Valentina gradually slipped out of the suffocating embrace and turned to face her Aunt Luna.
Her aunt was a small, anxious lady, who always seemed to be irrationally paranoid. Today was no exception. Her raven hair was dishevelled and her bloodshot eyes were filled to the rim with tears and distress. Trouble was etched onto every corner of her face as she inspected her niece for injuries, just as Valentina had done earlier to Niko.
Finally, after what had seemed like years, she spoke, "Where have you been? I've been calling you for hours and you haven't been picking up."
Luna looked as though she were about to burst into tears any moment and Valentina averted her gaze to the ground, remorsefully. She hated making her aunt worry, yet it had become a daily element of her life.
"I was going to call the police, " Her aunt continued, pacing up and down the hall whilst brushing her fingers through her hair.
"Niko told me that you were both attacked by a villain and when you didn't come home with him, I didn't know what to think! He also told me that you flew off with All Might. Which also concerned me. You have no idea how worried—"
She searched Valentina's face for any sign of remorse when she realised her niece wasn't even listening to her.
"—And you're not even listening to me," Her aunt murmured, catching Valentina's attention. She looked exhausted; both physically and mentally. "I don't even know what to do with you anymore."
