VALENTINA STROLLED ALONG THE HALLWAY of UA High. She had arrived quite early due to the fact that her brother pestered her to get out of the house quickly as he claimed he needed to be the first one to arrive in his class.
The duty of the class representative. He had told her before making his way into the second year department. Valentina decided that she had time on her hands so she roamed the hallways, exploring her new school, still unable to comprehend the fact that she was inside the UA.
Once she had decided that she had wandered enough, she came to a halt in front of an unnecessarily large door. 1A, it read in bold red letters. She remembered what her brother had told her to do if she ever felt nervous—just focus on breathing.
Valentina wasn't one to care about what others thought about her, but these were the most elite students. They were amongst the top forty-eight who were accepted in the entire world.
Be cool. Be calm. Be collected.
Valentina exhaled softly and swung the door open as she attempted to stride in, she tripped over her shoelace and stumbled into the class.
"Damn it!" She muttered, as she fell against a desk almost knocking it, and herself, to the ground.
Valentina glanced around the classroom and saw that there were already a lot of people in the classroom. All eyes were trained on her as she grinned brightly, waving her hand.
"Hey!" She shoved her hands into her pockets and rocked back and forth on her heels, her smile never once faltering. "Um...It's nice to meet you all...even though we haven't met yet."
Before anybody could comment, Valentina took a seat at a random desk and placed her head in her hands. She closed her eyes for a few moments trying to mentally erase the embarrassment she was feeling at that moment. Opening her eyes, she yelped as a tall muscular boy stuck his hand out in front of her.
"I am Tenya Iida, " He shook her hand with a firm grip. "It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance."
Valentina sent the tense boy a toothy grin before standing up. "Nice to meet you. I'm Valentina Beauregard and straight back at you."
He looked as though he was about to ask her a question when his eyes widened at something behind her. She followed his gaze and saw a familiar blond sat a desk with his feet perched on the table.
"What are you doing?!" Iida scolded. "Take your feet off the desk!"
Valentina watched her new acquaintance scold the boy as she tried to figure out where she had seen the blond boy before. She was snapped out of her train of thoughts when she felt someone tap her shoulder. She turned around in confusion as a red-haired boy sent her a bright smile.
