Peter

I rushed into the fleabag hotel. No one seemed to notice that I was gone. I didn't know whether to be relieved or deflated.

"Mysterio blah blah blah." the TV said in Italian. The news was showing the mystery guy and the water monster thingy.

"Who is that guy?" Beth asked.

"He's like Iron Man and Thor in one." Brad answered. Man, Doctor Strange would be very happy to hear that. Maybe he'll kick him through a portal and disappear, I thought. Wishful thinking.

"He's not spider man." Flash said. I nearly snorted.

"What is it with and spider man?" MJ asked. I was about to ask the same question. If he knew it was me, what would he be like?

No, Peter, I said to myself. That's not what superheroes do. They use fame for good, not for personal purposes. And as pathetic as you are, you are a member of the Avengers, the mightiest heroes on earth

"What? He looks out for the neighbors, he has a dope suit and I really respect him." Flash said. I must admit, I was pretty flattered. Until he turned to me, saying. "'Sup, ****wad?"

I snorted hard. As much as it would be funny if I told him the big secret, I knew better than that. So I just went up to my room, which I shared with Ned.

. . .

Just as I started to brush my teeth, Ned collapsed with a huge thump. No way he fell asleep that fast. My spider senses indicated something, or rather, someone was behind me, (as if it wasn't obvious enough) so I turned around slowly, warily, and cautiously.

"You're a very difficult person to find, Mr. Spider man." Nick Fury said. I nearly had a heart attack, because why wouldn't a person freak out with a Nick Fury suddenly turning up in the corner of their room? A zombie or a ghost would be rather preferred.

"Nick Fury.... You just shot Ned." I stuttered. He snorted like, is that all you're worried about?

Mr. Fury continued on his big speech about me being missing, and showed me a hologram of stuff happening, when my supervisor, Mr. Harrington, knocked on my door. He opened it. Uh oh.

"Blah blah blah..."

I couldn't focus on what he was talking about, since if he saw Mr. Fury, things could get ugly. As in two-people-unconscious-on-my-floor-from-Nick-Fury's-sedation-gun sort of ugly. Thankfully, he went away pretty soon. I let out a sigh of relief.

Mr. Fury continued on, except that Betty asked about Ned. Holy cow, I nearly had another heart attack.

"He's asleep, Betty!" I shouted. Fury rolled his eyes, and kept on talking. Of course, my other supervisor, Mr. Dell said something again. I, being panicked already, couldn't hear a word he was saying (A/N: Nah. Peter's hearing is fine. My hearing isn't, and I can't understand anything that's going on in that dam clip.)

"Another person touches that door, you and I are going to be attending another funeral!" Fury warned. I gulped. Thankfully, the knocking stopped.

"Shall we go to the place now?" Fury asked, although it didn't seem much like a question.

. . .

"Maria Hill, Dimitri." the two agents glanced at me. I already saw them a couple times. But there was a new face. "Angelica Schuyler." Fury said. "The newest recruit, but usable in many situations."

"Hello." Agent Schuyler said. She barely looked at me, and went back to stirring water with her hands. At least, it looked that way. She had an ancient aura, which sent a shiver down my spine. Something about her made her seem more ancient than Thor (of course, Thor didn't exactly scream ancient). Like she was new into this new world. No way. She was dark skinned with unsettling purple eyes. Otherwise than the aura, she looked really young, like seventeen or something.
