Shifra's POV
Caspian went on to catch the others up on all that had happened in Narnia, but I went to go and check on Eustace. When I entered, I stretched out my wings which had become quite cramped as they often did on the ship and Eustace gave a screech. "Get away! Get away from me, demon!" I was quite taken aback at his harsh words, but not completely offended.

"I assure you, I am no more a demon than you are still in England," I tried to assure him, but he was not having it.

"Normal people don't have wings," he countered, trying to get as far away from me as possible, pressing himself against the wall behind the bunk he was in. I could not help but roll my eyes. This boy. Soon Caspian, Drinian, Edmund, and Lucy came in. I went to Caspian's side and gripped his hand in my own, rather smaller one. "Finally," he exclaimed, looking at me with fear and even hatred. "Never leave me with that...that demon again."

The reaction of the others of instantaneous. Edmund grasped the hilt of the sword Caspian had just given him, Drinian's jaw clenched, Lucy drew a sharp gasp, and Caspian tried to lunge forward, but I held him back. "Caspian," I said firmly as he tried to fight against the giant wing that held him back, "Calm down. He's just a boy and he knows not what he says."

"Please let me hit him," Caspian said in a low voice.

Edmund gestured towards Eustace and replied in a low and angry tone, "Go ahead, its fine by me."

Lucy hit him in the arm and said, "Let's all calm down. Edmund, even if he is wrong, he is still our cousin and like Shifra said, he is just a boy. Eustace, she is not a demon. She was given her wings by Aslan himself and she is the General of Narnia and Second in Command to Aslan so you will not speak such vulgarity to her." None of us had ever seen Lucy speak to anyone, let alone family, like this.

Caspian was no longer struggling to get at him, but he was still extremely tense. "Apologize," he demanded.

"What?" Eustace asked, fear creeping in his voice.

"Apologize to General Shifra," Edmund ordered, understanding what Caspian wanted.

"Oh she's a general is she?" Eustace asked, even more terror showing through his voice.

"Caspian, Edmund this really isn't necessary," I tried to end it all there, but neither was having it. When they had finally gotten an apology that they wanted, Lucy gave him a bit of her cordial to help with the seasickness and Caspian showed the others throughout the ship. I however, flew up to the Crow's Nest and perched on it sharing the space with Rynelf, whose turn it was to watch from up there. After we had talking for a bit, I flew off, flying through the air at such a great speed with so many twists and turns that you could hardly tell if it was me or a rocket.

Caspian and the others had just come on deck while I was doing this and they seemed to be enjoying the show, apart from Eustace who was pressing himself far away from my erratic movements. While it did appear random, it was so controlled that I was never scared. I had just spiraled up out of a deep dive when I flew much higher than I meant too. I could see the Lone Islands and became rather excited.

I flew back down and landed as carefully as if I was landing on china. "I never knew you could fly like that," commented Lucy.

I was breathing heavily at this point, but managed to reply, "Yes well...I've been flying a lot more now...over a thousand years not being able too has made me realize how much I love it. The Narnians practically barricaded me in with the centaurs after...after Caspian III was hunting me in earnest." They nodded and thankfully said no more to me until I had caught my breath.

A little while later, Lucy and Edmund were sitting talking about falling over the edge of the world when Eustace showed up saying, "I see you two are still talking nonsense as usual."

"Are you feeling better?" Lucy asked, leaning forward.

"Yes, no thanks to you," he replied curtly, "It's lucky I have an iron constitution."

Reep, who was also sitting with them, asked, "Found your sea legs?"

"Never lost them," Eustace replied, curt as ever, "Simply dealing with the shock of things. Mother says I have an acute disposition, due to my intelligence." Edmund spat out his water and held in a laugh.

"I don't think he had an a cute anything," Reep whispered to Lucy.

"I'll have you know as soon as we find civilization that I'm contacting the British Consul and having you all arrested for kidnapping," Eustace said, becoming angry. At that moment he had begun to walk away and walked right into Caspian.

I landed next to him from my place at the Crow's Nest and we locked hands as Caspian replied, amusement lacing his tone, "Kidnapping is it? That's funny, I though we saved your life."

"You held me against my will," the poor boy exclaimed, "In what I must say are the most unhygienic quarters. It's like a zoo down there!" We began to ignore him as he continued to list everything he found wrong with the ship.

We went to supper and talked for a bit, Eustace still keeping as far away from me as possible. Then we all went to sleep. Eustace complained greatly about having to share the same space as me, but when he realized that I would be up in my hammock, which was at least five feet away from him taking into account the slight height, he finally shut up. Edmund was more than happy with his hammock and was soon fast asleep.

As Caspian and I got comfortable in our hammock, he whispered softly, "You knew they were coming didn't you? That's why you were so excited?" I smiled and nodded into his chest. "Goodnight, love." I smiled at the new name and soon drifted off into a peaceful sleep.
