Shifra's POV
We were now sailing for the Seven Isles and were on our second day. I knew that in twelve days we would see Edmund and Lucy, but I, of course, could say none of that out loud. We had woken up to one of the most beautiful days we had ever had. The sun was shinning and the sea was rising and falling gently, but what made the day so nice was a cool breeze from the north that pushed the ship so effortlessly that we needn't row at all.I had actually set off that wind when we left, but I had had no idea when it would reach us. I could not help but smile, proud of the help I had given even if no one knew about it. I felt an arm wrap around my waist and a voice whisper, "What has you smiling so?"
"Oh, nothing just the wind," I replied absentmindedly.
"That was good planning on your part, by the way," Caspian said.
"I thought so, I knew it would come in handy at some point." I then realized the trap Caspian had cast. "Oh you!" I exclaimed, turning around. I met the smirking face of Caspian as he looked down to me.
"I knew you had something to do with it. Why else would you have had that self-satisfied grin all morning." I lightly hit his chest and he, faking hurt, retorted, "Ow, you know it's not nice to hit people."
"It was a light hit!" I exclaimed in return. "I barely touched you!"
"I am very hurt that you would hit me like that," Caspian continued on dramatically, "And to think that you claim to love me. I honestly don't know how I've put up with you all this time..." I cut him off with a kiss just to shut him up. He grinned and moved his hands to cup my cheek. I let mine tangle in his now rather long hair, but just before it got quite heated I pulled away madly blushing. Grinning like a madman, Caspian continued, "Like I was saying..."
"There's just no pleasing you sometimes," I interrupted with a laugh. (Merlin anyone?) Before we could speak anymore the sound of someone clearing their throat caught our attention. "Drinian," I greeted.
"General, your majesty," he replied, "There has been a ship spotted about a mile off. It looks like it could be dangerous." I shared a look with Caspian and we both pulled away from one another and focused entirely on the matter at hand.
"I should go and see what this is about," I suggested, "I can fly out and see exactly who they are and what they are doing."
"Not a chance," Caspian replied, "You might get hurt."
"Caspian, I can render myself invisible, they would never know that I was there," I countered.
He shared a look with Drinian and relented, "Fine, but be careful."
"I'm always careful." I grabbed all my weapons and flew off. My plan to handle this was quite a simple one: to fly high into the air to see where they were, then turn myself invisible and scout out the ship.
There was one thing I could never have anticipated. When I had found the ship and was flying towards it I encountered something I could never have imagined. As I flew toward the ship I suddenly could go no further. I hit a force field that made me seen, but it did more than that. I found when I tried to fly away that I couldn't, I had no energy. The force field was popped and I fell onto the ship's deck.
I let out a groan and attempted to stand, but was kicked back down to the ground. "So you're her?" came a voice, "This is the goddess of wind and light? Pathetic!" She kicked me again. I let out another groan and tried to fight unconsciousness. "One of my force fields stopped her, how pathetic is that?" At this the girl grabbed a handful of my hair and pulled me to my feet. In a way that was her undoing, for the pain instantly brought me back to reality and I hit her with one of my wings. She was flung across the ship and I took off.
