Shifra's POV
I woke up to an empty room and instantly felt hungry. I had not eaten for three days so I was not surprised, but what did shock me was what I saw when I came to the storage room that acted as our pantry. Caspian was sitting, staring at an apple in his hand. He seemed almost angry, but I was not sure of why.

"Cas?" He looked up and his expression did not soften. "Caspian, what is wrong?"

"What's going on with you?" he asked. "One moment you are agreeing to marry me then shutting me out the next and not talking to me. Then you ask for me while half asleep and when you wake up you act as if everything is normal? This isn't normal Shifra!" He slammed his hands on the table, slightly crushing the apple that now rolled to the floor. His tone and actions caused me to flinch and his face softened. "Look, I'm not angry, I just...I don't understand. I want, need you to talk to me." He paused, grabbing hold of my hands before looking me in the eye and continuing, "I love you and I'm going to marry you, but I need you to be able to talk to me."

"I know," I replied, it was clearly not what he had expected, "My behavior has been less than ideal or understandable, but I shall tell you all." And that is exactly what I did. I told him of my dreams and of how I had been feeling after the events on the Lone Islands.

All felt right again afterwards and he whispered, "I would never say that to you, or hurt you like that. I love you, Shifra."

"I love you too," I replied and the low feeling in my chest that I had held these last three weeks and more faded away as I felt the familiar feeling of Caspian's lips on mine. As my lips moved against his, his hands moved to my waist pulling me closer to him. My hands moved to his chest, but I felt like I needed something more.

My hands moved up to run through his hair and he let out a groan. I gasped as his hands slightly tightened on my waist and he slipped his tongue into my mouth. We wrestled for dominance, but Caspian eventually won and as our lips and tongues moved in sync, my wings wrapped around him, pulling him even nearer to me. We quickened our pace, feeling a desperation for one another that we had never felt before. The sound of someone clearing their throat at the door broke us apart. A smirking Lucy asked, "Shifra, would you mind helping me a moment? One of my boots has a hole and I can't seem to get my needle threaded."

Caspian and I were both blushing furiously, but I consented to follow her, giving Caspian a smile as my blush deepened. Before I could walk out, he pulled me back to him and whispered, "We're so not done here." His voice sent chills down my spine, but he let me go. I gave him a chaste kiss on the lips and followed Lucy to her cabin.

When the door had shut, she turned to me with an awed expression and raised eye brows, commenting, "Well...that was certainly an interesting thing to walk in on." I blushed madly as she continued, "I didn't know you and Caspian were..."

"Actually we've never done that before," I interrupted, "I mean, we've kissed, but never that...um."

"Passionately," she finished for me with a teasing grin.

"Lucy, I thought I was here to help you thread a needle," I countered, changing the subject. Lucy smirked as she handed me the needle and thread.
