136 years ago the daleks came from the sky. The whole world was crying out for help. TV channels full of governments telling people to stay in their homes.
The humans surrendered to the Dalek's in the end.
If you didn't know this already I will tell you now the Dalek weapons have the ability to disintegrate people or slowly kill them. The Daleks being Daleks have their weapons in between these so that the victim dies painfully but it doesn't take too long.
Either way it's a horrible way to die however there is a worse way.
To be killed by your friends.
The Daleks created a system to torture humans in the worst way. They created the Arena. Each year 15 people are chosen from around the world. They are placed in an arena to fight to the death.
Like the colosseum in Rome. Although nobody knows about that anymore.
The Dalek's were looking for something when they came to Earth something buried underneath the Earths surface.
All you were taught at school was the main subjects Science,Math and English. In addition you were taught how not to die in the mines. History wasn't taught.
But people would often pass it down. Parents would teach kids what their parents taught them after school because before the Daleks arrived you were taught more.
By the year 2150 there were only about 6 billion people on Earth. So many people had died in the mines from Earth quakes or cave-ins. Others couldn't bare living with the Daleks in control and killed themselves.1225 people had died in the Arena.
Each year 15 people were chosen
10 of those people would be divided into groups of 2.
Each pair would fight each other in the arena till one dies.
The remaining 5 would have the hardest battle. They would have to fight each other.
In the harshest conditions with random obstacles those five people would have to fight and survive the games. Only one person lives through.
One year the obstacles were so bad that once the 4 other people had died the 5th died from an injury they had got before the others died and there was no winner.
If you could call it winning.
