A few days have passed since Y/N and Rosabeth had set out on their journey to England, Rosabeth fell ill with a common cold, but luckily Y/N was able to find some type of remedy for it. Even with the common cold, Rosabeth and Y/N managed to find an abandoned cottage that they were able to use for a few days so they could catch up on their sleep since sleeping out in the cold was not an option for the both of them. Leaving their horses in the nearby shed, they stayed inside of the cottage. Y/N's hair falling into her face as she tries to warm her hands up with the fire they were able to make. Rosabeth stared at her hands while Y/N continued to warm hers. "Did we make the right choice?" She asked softly, looking up at Y/N. The girl stared at Rosabeth with a confused glance, tilting her head slightly to the side. "Hm? What do you mean?" She asked, utterly confused. "I mean...like did we make the right choice leaving during winter...we could have waited for better weather or-" Her voice trailed off as she looks back down, realizing that y/n wouldn't have been able to stay for better weather. "I understand where you are coming from, Rosabeth...I do, but do you really think your father would let me stay? Do you not know how much England and Scotland don't get along. If I wasn't from England, your father wouldn't have made me leave so early, but because I am, he kicked me out during the harshest times of winter." She says, hatred twisted in her words as she sighs softly. The other girl nods her head slowly then stands up. "Okay..well i'm going to go check on the horses..I'll be back.." She says then walks out of the cottage and to the shed. Y/N watched her leave before she turned her gaze to her hands and bit her tongue to try and fight any other words that could make Rosabeth mad.
Y/N's POV
I felt anger but no longer hate, the hatred was only towards her father, but I could never hate her...or her mother. But, if only they hadn't found out this way...only if I had came clean before winter...I would have been back home in England during Fall. Taking a deep breath, I stood up and turned to the bags, my gaze narrowed as I tilted my head slightly. There was something wrong with this cottage, but I couldn't exactly place it. It couldn't have belong to anyone, otherwise the horses would've felt someone else's presence, wouldn't they? "Maybe...I should get Rosabeth...but we need our rest to regain strength.." I said, not noticing I said it out loud. Hearing a loud noise, I turned around expecting it to be Rosa, but it turned out to be a person I never thought I'd see again. "A-Ash..." your voice trailed off as you looked at him, hesitating a bit. "Hello Y/N, it's been awhile, hasn't it?" He said, chuckling a bit as he turned her head down towards the floor. My throat felt dry and scratchy as I wanted to scream for Rosa to run, but the words wouldn't come out, neither the sound. "There isn't any point in screaming, and besides your friend there is knocked out from the cold." He said, smirking a bit as he saw me shaking in fear.
