Dahee...

'My sweet little sister, Dahee.' Namjoon thought.

She will be twenty now. Her eighteenth birthday was the last time Namjoon saw her, before she left for a vacation in Jeju Island with her friends and disappeared...

They searched everywhere but to no avail, there was no trace of her but now after two years, she has materialized again and that too in Daegu. There were so many questions running inside Namjoon's mind, bombarding him for attention.

Where was she?

Why did she disappear?

Why didn't she return home?

Why didn't she contact him?

Was she alright?

The only thing that calmed Namjoon's restless mind was that he was finally going to get the answers for the questions, that didn't let him sleep for two years.

"I hope she is alright" Yoongi spoke aloud his concerns.

"I hope so too" Namjoon murmured.

There was this unsettling feel inside him. However much he wants to ignore it, he just can't. There must be a reason behind her disappearance and Namjoon knew it would be something bad, really bad. But he doesn't want to think about it, not when he can finally hold his sister in his arms.

His baby sister...

Their car stopped in front of Daegu Police Headquarters. Namjoon shuffled out of the car in haste, his steps in hurry, rushing inside the huge building. From his peripheral vision, Namjoon saw Yoongi mimicking his actions. Why wouldn't he, after all Yoongi considered Dahee as his younger sister. Yoongi deeply cared for the girl; they had spent so much time together in Namjoon's Rkive.

They reached reception; there they were received by Officer Byun with whom Namjoon spoke on phone. He led them to his senior's cabin.

"Officer Bang will give you all the information" Officer Byun knocked on the door and let them in.

Officer Bang was reading through some files on his desk when they entered, he looked up from the papers and inquired "Are you Mr. Kim?"

"Yes and this is Mr. Min" Namjoon gestured towards Yoongi.

"Please do take seats, Misters." Officer Bang said while neatly stacking the closed files.

After getting comfortable on his seat Namjoon asked the question he has been asking for years.

"Where is Dahee?"

Officer Bang gave them a sad smile before answering "She is in infirmary. We will take you to her."

"Then why are we here? Lead us where she is" Namjoon was getting impatient. Two years with no whereabouts of his sister was a long period of time and he didn't want to wait for even a second now.

"Because there are few things you must know before you meet her" Officer Bang calmly told them, his eyes reflecting his age, his years spent in policing.

"What things?" It was Yoongi who asked after being quiet for so long.

"About the circumstances of her disappearance"

"What is it? She is alright, right?" Namjoon felt uneasy in every nerve of his body. He was nervous to know the answer but he still wanted it.

"Physically, yes. Mentally, I don't think so." Officer Bang's reply made Namjoon feel creeps on his nape.

"What- what do you mean?" Namjoon asked shakily.

Officer Bang sighed before breaking the new that would break Namjoon's fragile heart into many pieces.

"Mr. Kim, your sister Kim Dahee was kidnapped and thrown into flesh trade. She was raped each day, multiple times. She doesn't bore any fresh injuries on her body but emotionally...we don't know the impact yet"

Namjoon felt so cold, like someone dropped ice cold bucket of water on his head, he visibly shivered.

"Flesh trade! That's illegal! How can that happen?!" Yoongi demanded.

"Correct Mr. Min, but they illegally work underground. Frequently change their location. There's a whole underworld mafia behind this. When we got a sniff about it, we raided their location, evacuated people. There we found your sister." Officer Bang informed them solemnly.

"This is...this is so wrong. This shouldn't have happen..." Yoongi despaired.

"I know Mr. Min but we have caught many people involved in the racket. Detailed investigation is going on; we won't spare anyone and do our best in putting the culprits behind the bar." Officer bang assured, it was his duty and he refrain to fail it twice.

"How?" Namjoon whispered, still looking down at his lap, dejectedly.

Officer Bang heard him. He felt sorry for the man; he was still young to bear the weightage of this harsh truth.

"Cruel coincidence. She was just present at a wrong place on a wrong time." Officer Bang saw the emotions swirl in Namjoon's eyes and so he added, "Don't beat yourself up. Neither you nor your sister is in fault. Just let me know when you are ready to meet her."

Namjoon just sat there without moving any muscle. He looked calm for the outside but inside him, there was a tornado going now. All his emotions were mixed beyond recognition. He felt angry, sad; relieved but the most prominent emotion was guilt.

Guilt of not been able to save his sister.

'I'm sorry my sister...'
