Her Hope | Jung Hoseok

Jung Hoseok was preparing his coffee when he heard his phone buzzing on the platform. He smiled after checking the caller's name.

"Good morning, Namjoon! What made you remember your Hope?!" Hoseok rejoiced.

He heard a chuckle from Namjoon, "Morning, Hoseok and how can I forget my only hope?"

"Yeah, yeah and that's why you call me everyday" Hoseok playfully mocked the other.

"I'm sorry Hoseok. I swear I'll be more in contact with you in future" Namjoon swore.

Sensing other's discomfort, Hoseok quickly tries to make situation light-hearted.

"Don't worry, I was just kidding! Now tell me why you called me?"

"Hoseok can we meet up?" Namjoon asked hesitantly.

Hoseok frowned.

"Yeah, sure. But may I know the reason behind this sudden meet-up?"

"I wanted to ask you a favor" Namjoon said in a quiet voice.

Hoseok smiled.

"Namjoon you know that you can ask me anything, right? You don't have to feel hesitant about it. Now tell me where do you want to meet?"

"Our usual café at 6?" Namjoon asked unsurely.

"Sounds good to me!"

"Thank you, Hoseok"

"No problem, bro!"

The call ended and Hoseok was left wondering, "What favor would it be that made Namjoon so hesitant?"

Hoseok reached café five minutes before the scheduled time but when he walked inside, he saw Namjoon already sitting far back in the corner. By the looks of it, it seems he came a lot earlier.

'Whatever this is about, Namjoon is surely very anxious about it' Hoseok thought.

He walked towards the table and noticed how it was isolated from other tables in the café; no one can eavesdrop on their conversation.

When Namjoon saw him coming, he stood up and gave him a hug.

"Thank you for coming" Namjoon said while taking his seat again.

Hoseok saw Namjoon's coffee was already half empty while taking seat across him. Namjoon noticed it.

"I'm sorry I didn't wait for you. I got here a lot earlier" Namjoon scratched his nape of his neck  guiltily, making Hoseok's assumption right.

"Hey, it's alright! Let me quickly make my order." Hoseok called a waitress and gave his order.

Hoseok turned towards Namjoon when waitress left to get his coffee.

"So Namjoon how's everything? And what is this favor that you need from me?" Hoseok got straight to the point, he was just too curious now.

Namjoon was visibly hesitant.

"Everything is alright. How about you? Last time we met was 3 months ago! That's quite a long time I tell you. We should meet more often! We should have a group meet up with all the boys. It's a shame that we are always so busy with our work that we can't even meet our own friends!" Namjoon babbled nervously.

"Namjoon calm down. What is it?" Hoseok asked him softly.

Namjoon sighed.

"A lot of things happened in last few months"

"Like?" Hoseok encouraged him to keep speaking.

"I don't know where to start"

"The start is fine" Hoseok assured.
