"I hate this place worse that the Asylum." Ericka grumbled as they walked through the gloomy halls.

"At least these people are on our side." Drac said, grabbing one of her hands. As they walked, Atom felt more and more guilty with every step. He was about to blurt out the truth, but he didn't have the strength. He held his head down as they entered the interrogation room. They saw the Darkness in a tall glass cylinder on the other side of the room. They walked up to it and looked at it. But it seemed more jumpy and scared since the last time they saw it. When Ericka touched the glass with her open hand, it jumped and huddled in the farthest corner from her.

"Why is it so jumpy now?" She asked.

"Well it should be scared." Drac said. Then the men walked into the room,

"Did you get it to talk yet?" The general asked.

"Not yet." Atom said, looking up at it.

"Let us try." The general said, walking over to a panel of buttons. He clicked one and it electrocuted the Darkness. The Darkness collapsed and looked at the general, almost as if it was in pain. The general clicked the button again and again. After the third time, the Darkness gave in,

"Alright i'll talk!" It said in a higher pitched voice, almost a child-like voice, "you seek the truth?" It asked. They nodded. "Well," It said with a hint of laughter in its slimy voice, "i'm not the only one."

"W-what does that mean?" Ericka stuttered. It laughed as the electricity corsed around it. Then it shattered the glass into a million tiny little pieces, the force sent them flying back towards the door. When they recovered, it was stepping out of the broken cylinder and went over to the general.

"LOOK OUT!" Atom yelled to the general. But the general ignored him and looked into its eyes.

"It's nice to see you again," The general said, putting a hand on it's shoulder, "brother." They watched in horror as the general and everybody else in the room transformed into the same disgusting creature. "Your outnumbered," The biggest one snarled, "i'd run." They took no time darting out of the room and down the hall.

"Y-y-you know I think we've been doing a lot more running than usual." Ericka panted as they ran from the stampede of shape shifters.

"Yeah you think I don't know that?" Drac asked, taking a right down a different hall. There was at least ten shape shifters chasing them noisily. The eventually made it to a empty room with desks and barricaded the door. They knew the door wouldn't hold for long. Luckily there was a window in the room with them. They used a chair to break the window.

"You couldn't have just opened it?" Atom asked Drac.

"WE HAVE TEN MURDER MACHINES ON OUR TAILS AND YOU CARE ABOUT A WINDOW!?" Drac yelled at Atom.

"YES I CARE ABOUT WINDOWS!" Atom yelled back.

"can we just go please?" Ericka asked.

"yeah ATOM." Drac said, jumping out of the window onto the ground.

"DON'T BLAME THIS ON ME!"Atom snapped, jumping after him. Ericka let out a annoyed sigh,

"Boys are so immature." And she jumped after them. The shape shifters broke through the door just after they left.

"They got away." The smallest one said sadly.

"Yeah because you slowed us down." The biggest one growled, looking out of the smashed window.

"Wait, I know how to find them." The small one said again. The big one looked down at him,

"And how do we do that?" The big one asked. The small one replied with,

"We get the Shadow Riders."
