"So Ryder," Ericka said as they trekked through the thick forest above Taziki, "is this your first time above ground since you were eleven?" Ryder was looking at everything at once,
"THIS IS INCREDIBLE!" He said, looking up a tree.
"I'll take that as a yes." She said. They walked for a while, listening to the crickets chirp and the owls hoot with a occasional bat flying by overhead. They stopped when a deep howling echoed by.
"Wolves," Drac said, "stay behind me." They howling stopped and they heard running footsteps accelerating at them. "Can you shape shift into anything besides a bat?" He asked Ericka.
"I-i've never tried before." She said.
"Well now's the time." He said, transforming into a wolf. She clenched her hands into fists and concentrated. She eventually turned into a white wolf with brilliant blue eyes and a single curl on her forehead.
"Hey i did it!" She said.
"And not a moment too soon." Ryder said. A grey wolf with black paws and red marking leaped out of the bushes.
(It's the wolf from Poseidon's Trident!) What it looks like:
"Trespassers," It snarled, circling them with a cold glare, "you reek of human."
"There's a human behind us." Drac said, baring his fangs at the wolf.
"I can see," The wolf said, licking its lips and letting the saliva drip out onto the ground, "and i haven't eaten in days." It closed in on Ericka, but she snapped her teeth at the wolf, making it back up. It looked into her eyes and saw right through her disguise. "You aren't wolves." It said, working it's claws into the dirt.
"Yes we are." Drac said, trying to keep his panic under control.
"YOUR SHAPE SHIFTERS!" It lunged at Ericka and clamped it's jaws on her throat.
"Why am i always the one getting hurt!?!" She said, turning back to normal and struggling to get the wolf off of her. Drac turned normal, grabbed the wolf so hard he thought he saw blood and threw it at a tree. She caught her breath and looked at her hands. Something bright was moving underneath her skin.
"What are you doing?" Drac asked.
"I'm not doing anything!" She said as her hands raised up in the direction of the wolf. A beam of light shot out of her hands and hit the wolf. She forced her hands down and they waited to see what happened to the wolf. When the small cloud of golden dust disappeared, a small grey wolf pup hobbled out. It looked at them and disappeared into the bushes.
"I think..you reformed it." Ryder said. They looked at him with what-the-hell-does-that-mean looks. So he explained, " To reform something is too turn it back to its original state, like how you did with the golems."
