Chapter 15: Destination

"Are you sure this is a good idea?" Mavis asked Drac as he packed a backpack.

"It's for everyone's safety." He said, zipping up his backpack and setting it next to the door.

"But why close the hotel?" She asked.

"Because," He started, turning to look at her, "If the Darkness were to find this place with all of the monsters in it, it could be catastrophic." To keep her from asking anymore questions, he shut her out of the room. She walked down the hall to her room when she ran into Ericka stepping out of Nicholas's room. She had two backpacks on her back and Nicholas sleeping in her arms.

"I forgot how big he's getting." Ericka said.

"He is getting big," Mavis agreed, "and soon he'll be going to school." Ericka's face changed from happy to worried,

"Y-yeah...School.." Mavis cocked her brow,

"Your..Your not worried are you?" She asked.

"..No.." Ericka mumbled.

"Then we should get going," Mavis said, patting her on the back as she passed her, "night doesn't last forever." Ericka nodded hesitantly and followed her downstairs. In the lobby, Comet was waiting along with, Johnny, Dennis and Drac. "Where's everyone else?" Mavis asked.

"We thought it would be safer if..they went home." Drac said. They stood in awkward silence for a few seconds.

"I guess you're right," Mavis said, putting on a backpack that Johnny brought down, "so where are we going?"

"To the underground city of Taziki!" Drac said, putting on his back pack. Mavis's face became confused,

"You know nobody on the surface has ever seen Taziki..right?" They all looked over at Ericka who was blushing bright pink, Drac was the first to confront her,
" You make me close down the hotel over a city you don't even know exists!?" Drac yelled.

"It does exist!" She retorted, " Just nobody has found it yet." They argued a little more, so Mavis decided to pass the time and look up Taziki on her phone. She found something that said, How To Get to Taziki! Looks shady but ok.. She though as she clicked on it. It had a video of two people arguing about something. the video had no sound so she couldn't tell what they were arguing about. Then the camera blacked out and when it came back on, they two people were gone. Then the camera person started to argue with someone else, the camera blacked out again. When the camera turned back on again, they were standing in a city that looked similar to New York with a heavy mist. The camera panned up and the tops of the building were shrouded with fog. She minimized the video to see the date in the corner, the video was made ten years ago. She also saw some text underneath the video.

TO TRAVEL SAY THESE WORDS ALOUD:

The Darkness Shall Die,

The Light Will Fail,

Even If You Bail,

I Shall Prevail.

She mumbled the words as she read them, she looked up when she heard a, "WHAT THE-" She noticed in an instant that Drac, Ericka and Nicholas were gone.

"Where'd they go?" she asked.

I don't know! They just vanished!" Johnny said. Mavis thought, Teleportation. She walked over to where they were standing,

"Johnny stand here," she instructed, "and bring Dennis too." He picked up Dennis and let him sit on his shoulders,

"Why?" He asked.
