Day 1

"Ohh mhy godd, thus ith tho goood!" said Yuzu with her mouth full as she was enjoying bite after bite of her first American cheeseburger. She couldn't believe that she never tried this before.

April laughed a little as she took a bite of her burger. "Yeah, I figured this would be your reaction" she said, happy that Yuzu was enjoying herself. "That's why I bought you two of them"

"We don't have anything like this place back home" said Yuzu. "You guys are so lucky to have this whenever you want."

"These In N Out burger places are everywhere here in California" said April. "That shows you how popular they are."

"I can see why" said Yuzu as she took a drink of her chocolate shake, still excited. "Ahhh... I gotta tell my friend Harumi about this. She'll be so jealous."

"Is she your best friend?" asked April.

"Oh yeah" said Yuzu. "She's one of the coolest people you could know. She even helped me to get ready for this trip. I don't know what I'd do without her."

April was amused, listening to Yuzu sound like a high school teenager, all excited and upbeat. It reminded her of how she was back in her own high school days.

"It's too bad Mei is missing this, she'd really like it here too" said Yuzu as she happily took another bite.

April stopped in between bites to listen to Yuzu. 'She did it again' she thought to herself.

"You call her Mei?" she asked with a curious look.

Yuzu froze, her eyes opened wide as she realized she made a mistake. As far as anyone was concerned, she was only suppose to be Mei's assistant. She almost choked as she swallowed her food, her hands beginning to shake.

"Oh... a... well... ummm... you see it's... it's just that... ummm..."

"Hey hey hey" said April, seeing that Yuzu was nervous, "it's okay? If there's something I'm not suppose to know, you don't have to explain anything, okay?"

"No it's just... ummm..." said Yuzu, feeling that she already let the cat out of the bag. She knew she should say something now, but was thinking that maybe she didn't have to say everything.

"Miss Aihara... Mei... she's..." she said as she paused to take a deep breath, closings her eyes as she spoke.

"... she's my stepsister" said Yuzu, saying something that was technically true. "My... full name is Aihara Yuzu."

April had a blank stare as she heard Yuzu's confession, then gave a small grin as she watched the blonde young woman sigh with relief. "Oh I see" she said.

"My mom married her dad about two years ago" said Yuzu with a trace of nervousness in her voice. "And I'm a little older then her, so I tend to act as the older sister when I'm around her."

April continued to smile as Yuzu spoke, feeling glad that Yuzu could be honest with her.

"Okay, I get it" she said. "Well, as long as we're being honest, I kinda... already knew you two were family."
