Still me

The sun glowed high above the dirt of the arena. It shine through the barrier, reflecting its light in all shades of the rainbow. Sitting in the middle of the area staring up at the barrier with its healing light sprinkling down like snow around him, was Kie. He had a slight smile on his face as he watched every drop of light.

"I don't know how I knew, but before I got my memories, before I even heard her name again, I could feel it in the barrier. Manerva made this didn't she?" Kie turned around to the person watching him in the center of the arena. The man stood there. His peppered beard combed to perfection. His hair cut short and slick back showing of his olive skin tone and allowing his red eyes to pop. The older gentleman ware a tailored black suit with red accents. It was Headmaster Draith, he looked calm but well guarded.

"Yes she made this barrier when she first became the representative of witches here at this very school, before it was created many students were critically injured and that's before they made the rule that you can not hold back."

"This is what earned her the tittle Witch of protection. She created this barrier in the middle of a battle?"

"Yes just like you created a dragon, and Ember created multiple weapons. You all followed in each other foot steps and didn't even know it. The Witch of protection, the Witch of creation, and you the Witch of life, I never thought I would get to see my best friend's children blossom in front of my eyes." Kie smilled at Draith as he spoke.

"There's only one thing I don't understand why did we forget you too? Is it because of what you are?" Draith stood still he showed no reaction to Kie's words but they did shock him.

"The spell your sister cast is very complicated it's made to remove the memories of a specific person from everyone's mind. But because of my nature the spell could not take memories from me, so it removed me from the equation. It made it where none of you would remember me and anyone who ever saw me with your family would forget that too, and because it was a spell written by Manerva's and Ember's magic it was able to protect itself by making me unable to contact anyone within your family."

"That's why I also forgot Amber isn't it, because he still could remember his mother. So the spell made both of you unable to come near me but I could go near you?"

" that's the loophole to its protection you can come to us and once you do we are no longer repealed by the spell, but for Amber it was different he was never repealed because his mother's magic couldn't affect him."

" That's why he was able to come near me so easily because his blood tie to his mother nullified her magic." Kie shock his head as the realization that the only reason he never sow his nephew in the past 2000 years was because his sister was hiding him away keeping them apart.

"You are as smart as ever your father would have been proud of you." Kie went stiff at those words and his eyes wouldn't meet Draith.

"Lies." Kie growled out. "How can a father be proud of the child who murdered his other."

"That wasn't you! You didn't want to do that to her."

"How do you know?! How do you know uncle Draith, because from what I remember all I wanted to do was kill her!"

"I know because you, the real you, came to my door step in the dead of night with no tears left to cry as you hand me her body. You told me to hide everything that I would give you, that you had seen it, that you had seen time unfold it self before you and then you asked me to do something I will never forget." Draith and Kie stood there for a moment that felt like hours. Remember that night and what Kie had asked him to do. Uncle and Nephew at a stand still.

"Then you remember what I am here for, give it to me."

"Who are you?"

"What?" Kie seethed." I don't have time for your mind games."
