Chapter 13

-Melissa's POV-
My mum barged in. Great! All I need right now! Ugh! "Who's house is this? Your secret lovers?" She's said harshly. "No it's my house" I said. My step dad just smirked sarcastically. "You are the worst daughter Melissa and your gonna pay for it, starting with this horrid lot" she said pointing at James's family. "I dont know who the fuck you think you are lady but this is Melissa's house so get out before I call the police!" Steven said. with that she stormed to the door talking in her way "Melissa your family is pathetic and their gonna pay for it soon so be careful with your horrid boyfriend. He's fucking ginger, too fucking tall, ugly as shit, horrid ears, yuck look at him, I'd rather be sick and die!" She slammed the door behind her.

Why was she doing this to me? She just wanted me to suffer. "I'm so so sorry" I sobbed to them. I tried to pull a brave face and said "I need to go for a walk, clear my mind, you know,".
"Hey, I'll come with you, we can have a chat aswell," Amanda said sweetly. I grabbed my jacket and said "help yourself to whatever you like and if you get tired, sleep wherever you like" and we left.

-Amanda's POV-
We started walking in the dark, street light air. "Im so so so sorry about my parents," she said.
"Melissa, sweetheart, there absolutely no reason for you to apologise, you've done nothing bad" I said whilst trying to comfort her.

She smiled and gave me a big hug. "can I tell you a secret?" I cheerfully asked. "Only if I can tell you on after" She said. "ok, well you see, James has the worlds biggest crush on you and he told me that he thinks about you every night and how you two could be together and he would be your hero and I just wanted to say please, If you don't want him, let him down gently please"
"Awh, that's the cutest thing anyone has ever said about me but I couldn't. Possibly" she said and my heart sank. She was such a bright amazing girl and I knew how much James loved her.

After she had told me why -because she thought she wasn't good enough for anyone and he wouldn't like her- I felt so relived that she did actually like him and all I said was "please before you decide to tell him that you don't want to be with him, please please please tell him why, that's all I'm asking" I said and she agreed. James and Melissa where going to be together. Melissa would change her mind when she knew what he thought of her...
