My awfully Perfect Life

Chapter 16

-James's POV-
I cried and ran towards her, I couldn't see her but the firemen where keeping me away. No, I couldn't just stand there and leave my love dying. I tried and tried to break free but no chance. My family had been sent to hospital already but I wouldn't let them take me. I saw Melissa on a stretcher but her face was covered up. "is she ok?" I cried with tears streaming down my face.
"The damaged it so intense to show you" so something terrible happened. I gave in and entered the ambulance and just before we left I got a text. "The bitch is dead, I did you a favour" from Melissa's mum. I was angrier than anything but soon my face was covered with gas so I forgot everything.

-Amanda's POV-
I didn't know what had happened with James or any of the children. Then I saw the nurse come in and me and my family where all in hospital beds tighter in one room. "You are all ok, your just a bit injured but well done to the guy who saved you, your very lucky to have him" she giggled. "actually it was my son's girlfriend" I stated.
"Awh well that's so nice" she said and told us to rest for a bit.

Then I realised that James or Melissa weren't there. I got very worried but didn't want to worry anyone so I just prayed they were ok. Several minutes later James came in tears. "..M...mm...Melissa's in.... In the other room and ..... And ..... And they won't let me see her..... They said it'll upset me" he wailed and cried and fell to the ground. He had scars on his face and his leg was cut open but that didn't stop him.

We all got out of bed and got dressed. We went to where Melissa was and waited for someone. This couldn't have been good, only people with serious problems have to stay in one room by themselves.

A nurse came along. "We are very sorry but we are advising you don't see her, her appearance is very intense." se said sadly.
"Please" James begged.
"Ok but all of her skin had been burnt and especially her face, it will take months or even years to have her skin back to normal. But that's not all, she broke 3 ribs, her collar bone, her arm, a bone in her forehead, her leg and a toe" she finished. Being a nurse myself, I knew how bad she would look and I really didn't want James to see her or he'd never forgive himself even thought it's not his fault.

We entered. I slowly lifted the white sheet of her face and was shocked. it was so much worse than I thought it would have been. My eyes suddenly teared up and I couldn't stop. Everyone looked and they looked so hurt. James looked and he was trying so hard to keep the tears back.

-James's POV-
I hate myself, look what I've done to my girl! Her whole body was covered in burns and they looked so bad too. That must hurt like hell. Then a nurse came in, and said the worst thing I had ever heard with my own 2 ears. "This girl is the luckiest patient we've ever had, she survived all that but I'm so sorry, she could die at any second and all we can do is hope she fights and survivors her rare situation.

-Melissa's POV (in comma)-
I felt horrible and the pain I was in was indescribable. I heard James say "look guys it's late you should go home I'll stay with Melissa" and then from his mum "our house burnt down and we have no insurance" she cried. "mum it's ok, I'm sure Melissa won't mind if we stay for the night look here's her keys" they thanked him and wished me to get better. I could hear James sobbing and then he held my burnt hand. "Melissa, if you can hear me or not, you are the most amazing girl in the whole wide world, you so gorgeous and I've ruined you, I'm the worst guy ever and everything your mum said was true, I don't deserve someone like you, your too good for me and if I could go back if change everything baby just for you, I've loved you since year 7 and I always will, baby girl" he said. That was the cutest, most amazing thing anybody has EVER said to me.
