chapter two - the winning of the quidditch cup

Althea's point of view

It is the last quidditch match of the season with gryffindor versus Slytherin I have really high hopes for our team this year as we have been practicing a lot and doing very well in all of our matches , but the one think I am worried about is Caleb he seems to be getting distracted easily and I have begun to notice that he tends to be looking at my direction most of the time which is kinda frustrating as he's our main player as seeker he's the one that ends the game by catching the snitch so fingers crossed he will actually take it seriously today.

We are behind the stands waiting to walk on and I could sense being watched I glance over my shoulder to see Caleb looking at me as he walks over to where he usually stands in the front with me did I mention I'm gryffindor captain so I have to stand at the front with Caleb, I give him a warm smile which I get a grin in return, "you actually gonna concentrate this time" I murmur to him , Caleb raises an eyebrow "don't know what your talking about potter " he says teasingly knowing I hated it when he teased me by saying that, I roll my eyes playfully and mount my broom as we all begin to fly out and into a circle like our usual routine, I glance up at Caleb who gives me a small wink making me roll my eyes again before the game began.

Almost an hour into the game and slytherin are winning by 210 - 160, "come on Caleb get the snitch already" I think to myself as I weave through the slytherin team scoring a goal, the gryffindor crowd roar with cheers as we score another ten points for gryffindor I look around and see Caleb and the Slytherin seeker neck to neck chasing the snitch I still play the game but occasionally glance in Caleb's direction who is now zooming towards the ground I come to a halt as I watch with a frightened look in my eyes thinking what is he doing he's gonna hit the ground, but he pulls his broom up slightly a foot from the ground standing up he launched himself forward grabbing the snitch before hitting the ground, a sigh of relief escapes my lips as the whistle blows with the words of madam hooch telling us that gryffindor had won the match.

The whole of gryffindor and professors surround Caleb cheering him on as he walks over to me, "and you said I would get distracted" he says teasingly folding his arms with a raised eyebrow, I go bright red and hit his chest playfully rolling my eyes as we walk to madam hooch to retrieve the trophy.

Caleb's point of view

After catching the snitch the first person I look for was Althea ignoring all the others that surrounded me, I spotted her long and wavy red hair and grin and I walk over to her "and you said I was gonna get distracted" I teased as I fold my arms and raise an eyebrow at Althea jokingly, Althea goes bright red and hits my chest playfully making me chuckles before dragging me over to where madam hooch and the others stands, madam hooch walks over handing me the cup "well done gryffindor for winning the house cup" I grin taking the trophy from her holding it up as I watch all of gryffindor and family members cheer for me and the gryffindor team, I grin widely before handing the cup to one of our chaser I look down at Althea and smirks at her "well done lupin-black you won us the quidditch cup" she says grinning "well potter if it wasn't for your help and pushing me to practice I wouldn't have caught it" I say back grinning , she smiles giving me a hug I hesitate at first and hug back holding her close, she pulls away but before she could pull away fully and without me even thinking I pull her back kissing her, I hear a few gasps before a voice I recognized well shouted at me.

I pulled away from the kiss as soon as I hear James potter (althea's dad) call my name I quickly glance at Althea who is blushing bright red before snapping into reality I look at James as he walks towards me "Caleb Remus lupin-black that's my daughter your kissing" he says waving his wand at me , panicking I bolt off James and her brothers chasing after me, I bolt straight towards hogwarts being one of the tallest in our year had a great advantage especially when your athletic, but turns out they had other ideas.

I turn a corner only to bump into harry I turn to run the other way but they seemed to have surrounded me into a corner I whimper bowing my head expecting the worse until I hear that familiar angel like voice getting close telling them to stop.

Althea point of view

After Caleb gives the quidditch cup to one of our chasers I smile and give him a hug laying my head in his chest as I could feel the vibrations of his heart beating against his chest, I could sense he hesitated but soon feel his strong arms wrap around my waist making me relax as begin to feel safe in his arms after a few minutes I pull away only to be pulled back in as I feel Caleb's gentle lips against mine my whole body freezes for a second before I melt into his arms.

Not even ten seconds into the kiss and I hear the familiar voice off my father James potter and brothers shouting Caleb's name I pull away blushing deeply whilst looking down I hear my father say something along the lines of that my daughter your kissing , I decide to look up only to see Caleb bolting away followed by my father and brothers.

Panic courses through my body as I chase after them I may not been the most tallest girl in our year but I could still run fast with my athletic ability, I go round a corner and see Caleb whimpering and cowering in the corner with my family around him "dad stop leave him be he didn't mean it" I shout lightly pushing my father away and giving him a slight glare he huffs and backs away followed by my brother's.

I look down at caleb who is now on the floor hugging his knees as he rocks back and forth, I lean down gently wrapping my arms around him Caleb jumps slightly before relaxing and cuddling into me his head on my chest and I play with his hair absentmindedly, "why did you kiss me may I ask?" I say trying not to blush, Caleb fiddles with the chain he had got me when we were younger "I don't know I wasn't really thinking straight and I know it was stupid of me" he murmurs , I sigh still playing with his hair reassuringly "it was not stupid I liked it" I think to myself as I just let him cuddle me before he dozes off to sleep.

As soon as he falls asleep I levitate him to the gryffindor common room, the fat lady was sat there waiting "snitch" I say watching as the fat lady swings open before levitating Caleb into the common room I lay him on the putting a blanket over him before gently kissing his forehead and walking off to the library to study.
