chapter 7-the fear inside me part three

Caleb's p.o.v

Today is the day I finally get out of hospital, I am kinda nervous and scared of leaving the room as I never know what's gonna be round the corner, after a lot of persuasion and apologizing I managed to get Althea to forgive me and come with me to the gryffindor common room so I could get into clean clothes and get my belonging for transfiguration.

Whilst walking towards the gryffindor common room I feel someone barge into me "watch where your going mutt" the person sneers I turn round only to see Jason stood there, my entire body went stiff with fear, althea must have noticed as she stands in front of me glaring straight at Jason "leave him alone you dick" she says sternly, Jason sneers at Althea then looks back at me "see you when your little bodyguard isn't around mutt" he growled walking off.

I sigh slightly in relief when he leaves relaxing slightly but still alert, Althea looks at me knowingly "he was the one that beated you up wasn't he" she asks concerned, I look down at the floor fidgeting slightly not answering, Althea sighs and lifts my chin up "you need to tell someone caleb" she says to me looking at me , I instantly shake my head frantically scared, god if he found out I told someone he would kill me.

"Look at me" Althea says placing a gentle hand on my cheek making me flinch slightly "he's not gonna hurt you anymore Caleb I won't allow it now please let me tell someone" she reassures gently rubbing her thumb on my cheek I sigh and nod slowly, Althea smiles and gently leads me to professor McGonagall.

Althea's p.o.v

I gently lead Caleb to professor McGonagall, I could feel him shaking slightly with fear so I look up at him to see he is crying, I give his hand a gentle squeeze before knocking on McGonagall's office door, "come in" I hear faintly so I open the door slowly leading Caleb into the room.

McGonagall looks up from her book at the two of us and raises an eyebrow"everything alright miss potter" she asks concerned, "no professor, Caleb finally admitted what happened to him" I reply sitting down with Caleb next to me, Caleb looks down his body still shaking.

McGonagall glances at Caleb curiously yet concerned "well mister lupin-black would you like to to tell me what happened " , Caleb glances up then back down fidgeting uncomfortably, I watch him and sigh slightly before grabbing his hand reassuringly and giving it a gentle squeeze, Caleb looks up at me giving me a sad smile before explaining to McGonagall what happened the night he was found both shock and horror appeared on McGonagall's and myself face at what he told us from pushing around and name calling to the torture of the cruciatus curse.

"Had this happened before mister lupin-black?" McGonagall asks, I look at Caleb hoping he would say no but he nods making me gasp he then explains the rest of the situation and how he had lied about where he got the old bruises and scars from, by the end he was crying frantically whilst rocking and I had him in my arms also crying , McGonagall had gone to inform Caleb's parents and aurors about what she had been told.

I look down at Caleb still holding him close whilst running my hand through his short black hair "why didn't you tell me about all this" I ask, "because I didn't want to worry you plus he threatened to hurt anyone that found out" he replies clinging to me " don't make me go back to him please" he sobbed burrying his head into my stomach, I hold him protectively to my chest rubbing his back reassuringly "it's okay he won't harm you ever again I won't let him I promise " I say humming softly to him.

Caleb eventually calms down in my arms and just lays in my arms contently fiddling with my tie, footsteps are soon heard and in walks Hagrid,McGonagall,Sirius, Remus, and three aurors all restraining Jason who is trying to escape, Caleb instantly lets out a terrified scream clinging further into me hiding his head in my chest his body shaking again, "is this the man?" One of the aurors ask, I nod my head "thats him" I reply, I watch as Sirius instantly tried going after Jason only to be held back by Remus "how dare you hurt my son you bastard!" Sirius shouts growling at him.

Jason laughs and sneers at Sirius looking at Caleb "aww are you that scared that you need potter to cuddle you and hold your hand" he teased making Caleb whimper and cower away fearfully, I glare at him intensely growling lowly, the aurors see how scared Caleb is and decides to get the questioning over and done with before gathering enough evidence to send him to Azkaban "we shall take him to Azkaban prison and send you a letter of the court date" the leading auror says, "thank you sir" Remus says still holding Sirius in his arms soothingly rubbing his arm.

The aurors take Jason away, Remus let's go of Sirius before going to Caleb and I "oh my dear boy why didn't you tell us " he says soothingly to his son, Caleb doesn't answer too scared to even talk or move, "he said he didn't want to worry anyone and that Jason threatened to hurt anyone who found out" I explain, Remus sighs and nods gently ruffling Caleb's hair before going to Sirius and leading him out the room.

McGonagall and Hagrid glance at eachother before leaving us alone in the room, I look down at Caleb who had now relaxed a bit but was still shaking slightly as he cuddles me , "wanna go to the common room or even the room of requirements" I ask calmly playing with his hair , Caleb nods slightly so I lead him to the common room, as soon as we walk in I lead him to the sofa and sit on it gently pulling him down so he was sat beside me I lightly pull him into my arms and allow him to cuddle up to me, I watch as he visibly calms down when he sees that were alone and snuggles into me, I just smile and plays with his hair till he falls asleep his head on my chest, I too fall asleep my head leaning on top of his.
