chapter three - boys night

Caleb's point of view

Today is one of my favourite days Saturday which means boys night with the mates where we sneak into the room of requirements and decide on something we will do today we are playing card games whilst talking about girls or boys, there is 5 of us, Leo, Eric, Damien,orion and myself, so tonight will be fun but then again they always are with the boys, we always have a laugh and find ways to embarrass each other.

And yet there was something about today that seemed a bit off for some reason Althea and I are getting closer together when it comes to bonding and I don't seem to know why, leaving her in the gryffindor common room kinda made me feel empty and upset yet I can't put my finger in the reason why I feel this way.

I snap out of trance when leo clicks his fingers in front of me whilst calling my name "yo Caleb stop daydreaming and take your turn dude" Leo says , I sigh and glance at the card I have in my hand it was a decent suit of cards but I just didn't feel like playing, the boys scense this and look at me curiously "you okay there bro you seem lost in thought something on your mind lately " Orion asks me concerned, I look down and shrugs, Leo smirks "hmmm or is it a someone" he teases nudging me I swat his hand away "no... maybe...I don't know" I reply fidgeting a bit, Leo grins even more "come on then spill the tea who is this someone" he teases even more making me go bright red "it's Althea for some reason I didn't feel like leaving her side today I couldn't take her off my mind " I mumbles quietly knowing her brother was in the room.

A few wolf whistles are heard from leo,Eric and Orion making me go even more red "Althea huh hot chick isn't she " Leo says nudging me again with a wink, I blush even more and nod "yeah I guess" I reply giving him a small smile, Leo thinks "hmmm I think I know what's wrong with you" he says knowingly, I tilt my head confused "what you mean leo?" I say not clicking on as to what he was hinting, "you my friend are feeling the L word towards althea" he says with a grin, I furrow my eyebrows and give him a confused look "what you mean L word" Leo facepalms himself "you really don't get it do you"  he asks, I shake my head in reply clueless as to what he was on about, leo huffs "think about it the word starts with L and ends with E it's a four letter word and a strong feeling" Leo hints.

Realization hits me did I really have a crush on my best friend, I shake my head indenial of it "no no no I do not l..love Althea well not in that way she's just like a sister to me" i say stubbornly folding my arms, Leo groans "come on dude just admit it you love her" I huff in defeat "fine" I reply , a big grin appear on the boys faces "Caleb and Althea sitting in a tree K.I.S.S.I.N.G" they chant loudly making me blush like a tomato "what eww no why would Althea want to date someone like me " he says glancing at leo with a knowing look before casting his eyes to the floor, Leo sighs "I'm pretty sure she don't know about it and even if  she  did she wouldn't care" he says but I didn't really want to believe him so instead stayed quiet, not knowing there was someone behind the door.

Althea point of view

It was the middle of the night when I was doing my usual patrol around the corridors, whilst walking past the room of requirements I could hear chatter nearby and went to go investigate, I listen in and hear mumbling before my name being mentioned, after a while I was able to hear the conversation properly,  turns out it was just the boys being loud again whilst having their boys night.

I still listen in on the conversation I could hear Leo and Caleb talking about love and Leo taunting he had feelings for someone but I couldn't hear who till leo mentioned to Caleb that he needed to admit that he love me, my body froze and my heart began to race fast at first Caleb was in denial which made my heart drop but then I heard him admit it.

Caleb lupin-black my best friend likes me, i was shook at the news and was shaking slightly with excitement, just the thought of him liking me sent shivers down my spine, to be honest I liked him back but had never got the courage to tell him or anyone else, then I hear Caleb mention why would I date someone like him I frowned curiously I couldn't think of anything that would make me not wanna date him I mean yeah he's a bit of a pain in the ass and loves to tease me but that's one of the things I like about him, I also like his masculine voice, his soft hair and how his clothes fit tightly across his muscles.

I drool slightly before snapping back I to reality did I really think that way about my best friend, I sigh wiping my mouth and walk back to the common room.

Caleb point of view

After changing the subject Eric had pulled out a pack of fortune cards from his bag and was trying to predict everyone's fortune but I had zoned out to busy thinking about Althea to even play, I snap out of trance though when Eric tells me to pick a card, I pick one at random which so happened to be one about love and loyalty, Eric smiles "looks like good things really will come your way" he says .

I sigh and fake a yawn "god is it really almost 2 in the morning already well I better be going to sleep cause I need my energy for quidditch later bye" I say before rushing out and heading to the common room I sneak in but tense when I hears that familiar voice "give me one good reason why I shouldn't turn you in lupin-black" i slowly turn round to see althea a foot away with her arms folded I gulp.

Althea point of view

It is 2am in the morning and Caleb still hasn't come back, so here I am early hours in the morning pacing the room I let out a sigh before hearing the door go I look over to see the tall dark haired figure of Caleb I walk over quietly and fold my arms "give me one good reason why I shouldn't turn you in lupin-black" I say, I watch as Caleb visibly tenses before turning around whilst gulping he puts on a flirty face making me raise an eyebrow, "cause I'm cute" he says teasingly giving me that handsome look with adorable puppy eyes.

I instantly go bright red and turn away letting out a small scream, Caleb had took advantage of that and ran past, I look up going after him "oi I'm not done with you yet" I shout "then why don't you come here and get me " he says in the doorway of the dorms "oh wait you can't" he teases laughing softly, I give him a soft yet serious glare, he smirks walking over instantly making my body shiver from his presence "what's wrong potter did you want a good night kiss" he teases gently brushing his thumb against my bottom lip making me flush, I swat his hand away "n...no" I stutter shyly, Caleb grins and lifts my chin up "you sure cause it can be arranged" he cooes teasingly, I push him away playfully and hit his chest "don't be a meanie " I whine, Caleb chuckles going to his doorway "whatever you say pipsqueak I'm off to bed anyway so good night Thea" , I gives him a fond smile "goodnight Caleb" I murmur, he gives me a small wink before shutting the door.

I close my dorm door and lean against the door moving down to the floor I runs my finger over my jaw and lips the warmth of his soft touch still there I blush deeply before going to bed.
