chapter 6-the fear deep inside part two

Althea's p.o.v

It has been a week since I found Caleb in the old abandoned classroom on the Slytherin corridor although Caleb's was showing improvement of rapid healing and yet he hadn't woken up from his sleeping coma, I had been with him the entire time missing classes just to be with him, the amount of times I refused to eat, sleep or go lesson well I lost count of that, McGonagall even got damien and Maia to try drag me away kicking and screaming, yet nothing worked I wouldn't leave at all.

I was now sat on the arm chair right next to his bed my head was laid in the bed tiredly my hand loosely holding his , bags were under my eyes from the lack of sleep and my stomach growled every 5 seconds from hunger, I was fighting sleep so bad but I knew I couldn't stay awake for long so eventually my body gave in and I fell asleep.

A few hours later I bolted up awake after having a nightmare of losing Caleb and look around frantically, I glance down at Caleb to see him sleeping peacefully and give out a sigh of relief, I lay my head on his chest calming my breathing down I listen to his heartbeat contently the sound calming me completely I nuzzles his chest fondly whilst tightening the grip on his hand.

All of a sudden I feel Caleb begin to stir and hear a groan escape his lips I lift my head off his chest but still hold his hand "Caleb" I whisper gently touching his face, Caleb opens his eyes looking up before he screams which made me scream, Caleb moves away only to fall off the bed with a groan, "Caleb!" I exclaimed helping him back onto the bed "you okay" I ask , he nods rubbing his head " I'm fine what you doing here and why am I in hospital" he asks.

"I found you in the abandoned classroom on the Slytherin corridor you were battered and bruised so I called for help and the professor's brought you here I've been by your side the whole time " I reply looking up at him whilst trying not to blush, "you stayed here with me?" He says he himself trying not to blush, I go a bit shy and nod hiding behind my red locks only for him to move them away from my eyes, I glance up at him my eyes gleaming slightly, "thank you Thea it really means a lot to me" he says with a smile, I smile back "it's okay Caleb" I reply.

It went silent for a few moments before I remembered what McGonagall told me "Caleb can I ask you something?" I ask looking at him curiously, "anything Thea" he replies looking back with a smile, "what happened to you" I say in a calm and reassuring voice, I watch as fear fills his eyes and he looks away "I don't want to talk about it" he says curling up, "please Caleb I want to help you" I say worriedly, gently rubbing his back "I said I don't want to talk about it!" He snaps growling slightly, I jump a bit tears falling down my face as I run off ignoring the calls I hear from Caleb telling me to come back.

Caleb's p.o.v

"I said I don't want to talk about it!" I snap growling slightly before realising what I said I look at Althea who was now crying I go to grab her but she runs out "Thea come back I'm sorry!" I shout after her, I try to get up to follow her but whimper as I feel a slight pain in my chest, I sigh laying down and curling up on the bed looking down I let a few tears fall, why did I have to snap at her she was only trying to help, then I remember what she said about her staying by my side and wonder why.

The thought goes around my mind for a little while before I think of the reason why I'm here in the first place fear fills my eyes, oh god Jason's gonna kill me for not being there to be his personal punch bag as he called me but then again he called me many names, I sigh and just stay in a fetal position hoping that sleep would consume me and let me have a decent sleep for once.
