The velvet gem laid carefully along the neckline
Showing off the red satin silk,
That sweeped gracefully along the floor,
Or spun round with the breeze of the evening hours.
A scent of winter roses,
Dipped in the summer sun,
Bright scarlet, delicate, and wild,
Lingers behind.
Ruby stained lips tug into a thin smile,
As crimson shimmers along the tops of eyelids.

As the quiet pitter patter weaved through your ears.
The scarlet nails that gracefully reached out for the sky,
For the swirled red, that danced around the setting sun.
A hypnotizing rhythm.
Enchanted by the red, the red that surrounds you everywhere.
But, as the night fades on,
You realize,
The flashes of red you loved so much,

But would always live on
In the memory of which you stored them..
