when the dark distorts our faces
and we strap on clip-on wings,
the others are left
cleaning our minds off the nature.
while thw clumsy humans
stack their houses into skyscrapers
until the blocks tumble into the sea,
we fly,
dream monsters biting at our faces
as the horizon gnashes its teeth.
the mermaids comb their hair
in the lagoons of imaginations
while the storm clouds distribute insufficient rations
to the lonely glacier-queens.
the little children sleep with nightlights
because of the monsters their minds create.
and as we fly,
we see all this.
and as we fly,
we weep.
and as we fly,
we slowly
sink
into the sea.
one of my friends wrote this poem and i dont think ill ever get over how amazing it is.
