THE ESCAPE

I woke up dazed and confused. It took me a while to realise that I was in a cold dimly lit room. A prison cell of some sort. I was hurting all over and my ears were still ringing. The room smelled of flesh or an animal rotting and I dry retched a couple of times.

Trying to frantically remember what had happened, I tried to jog my memory as to what happened but came up with nothing. I must have been knocked out when my head hit the ground. I gave a loud sigh and thank the Fates I was still alive and then I remembered Minako was with me before I passed out.

I almost called out her name when I heard a faint sound from the far side of the room. I froze in place. It sounded like bones crunching. Someone or something was eating. Fear spread through my body as I realised that I might be next.

"You need to calm down, Omega," Minako's cool voice told me.

I turned towards her voice and could see the dimmed outline of her body sitting across me. She opened her eyes and it was glowing pale blue. She looked messed up as if someone had roughed her up while I was unconscious.

"I am fine," she said, this time I noticed that her voice was hoarse. "You need to calm down so we don't attract the attention of the young wolf in the room with us."

I breathed in deeply trying to calm my nerves but the scent in the room was making it difficult.

"Try breathing through your mouth," and I did.

After a while, the sound of the crunching stopped and my heart started to race again. I could hear his growls getting louder. It was still dark to see who or how the wolf looked like. It had black fur and the lack of light made it difficult to see.

The sound of his nails dragging on the cement floor told me that he was walking forward towards Minako and I. I inched closer to Minako. Not because I was afraid but because I wanted to protect her. She was still weak from whatever they did to her.

As the wolf stalked closer to where we were, I recognised the colour of his eyes. It was blue!

"Jungkook?" I said just above a whisper.

The wolf snarled and showed his teeth.

"Jungkook? It's me. Y/N."

He snarled louder and inched a little bit closer.

"It's pointless, Omega. He doesn't recognise you and he is hungry. They did something to him that stops him from changing back into his human form. For a werewolf, that is dangerous because if he stays in wolf for too long, he would lose his humanity and become feral. He would either kill or be killed."

My heart broke at what Minako said. Jungkook's wolf looked at me and I purposefully gazed down.

"Never look a wolf in the eye unless you want a challenge," I remembered what Jimin told me.

"Jungkook, please," I started begging. "I know you are still in there somewhere. Please, help us."

I was met with a blank stare.

**********

It felt like a few days or maybe a few weeks had passed by with the three of us in this room. From time to time the door would open and some sort of food would be pushed in to feed us. Sometimes the door would open and Jungkook would go out and after a few hours, he would be let back in again. I wasn't sure where he went or what he was doing but it looked like he was under a spell or commanded to do something.

"He is enthralled," Minako explained. "He does as his master or mistress commands."

Minako and I bonded from our time together. She shared her knowledge with me about what she knew about the supernatural world. I could see why Yoongi loved her, there was a certain allure to her.
