It was dark when we arrived at the edge of the woods. Yoongi, Namjoon and I stepped out of the car.
"Shall we?" Yoongi said as he stood next to me smoothing out his trousers.
"Are you sure about this Yoongi?" Namjoon asked him again.
Yoongi pinched his nose, something he learnt from Jin when he was trying to contain his emotions.
Namjoon patted his second on the shoulder. "Alright then," and started to lead the way.
The path to the cottage was muddy and slippery from the rainfall. Alongside the path, stones and boulders stood guard. It looked like it was placed randomly but I knew better. My fingers started tingling and I knew these stones, were bewitched.
Namjoon had his hands at the small of my back, steadily guiding me but also making sure that I don't fall. Usually, I would be annoyed because I could take care of myself but I had to remind myself that he is doing it because he is a gentleman not because he views me as someone who is weak.
From a distance, I could see lights shining out the window of a cottage and from time to time, I could see the silhouette of the person living inside it pacing back and forth.
The door opened before Namjoon could even knock on it.
"Hello, Namjoon," said a voice with clawing with sweetness that the hair on the back of my neck stood up. "It's been a while. I see you brought Yoongi and..." she paused, "the Omega. Interesting. I didn't think that you would actually bring her to me."
"Hi, Minako," Namjoon said smoothly, "I am glad you are still healthy. How long has it been since we last saw each other?"
Minako cocked her head as she eyed me. I was standing behind Namjoon, who gently pushed me behind him so that I was between him and Yoongi. I know it is because they wanted to protect me from Minako, but why? She doesn't look intimidating at all.
To say Minako was a beautiful woman was a gross understatement. She was tall, almost as tall as Namjoon and was slender with skin so pale that she looked like she was made out of porcelain. Her face was narrow with thin eyebrows, blue eyes and high cheekbones. Her hair, golden like the sun came down to her waist. She would be famous if she walked the runway. She looked like one of those high-end supermodels but there was something strangely odd about her that I couldn't wrap my head around.
"Why are you here, Namjoon?" she asked him, her eyes still fixed on me.
We were still standing at the door.
"You know why," Namjoon replied.
"Sometimes, I like to hear you say it."
I heard Yoongi huffed in amusement from behind me. Minako looked at him, lust flashed in her eyes. Namjoon cocked his head as well, blocking her view of Yoongi.
"I will not have you harm one of my Wolves, Fox," Namjoon said his voice deep.
"Fox?" I thought silently. So was she the fox from my dreams?
Minako looked at Namjoon in the eye and said, "I am not one of your wolves that you can order around, Wolf. I am my own person."
"Hi," I said trying to break the tension. "I'm Y/N," I shoved my hand forward for a handshake. Namjoon caught my wrist and pushed it down gently before Minako could reach for it.
"Enough with the small talk, Namjoon," Minako said, "Tell me why you are here and I will invite you in."
Namjoon sighed. I could see that he was a little annoyed at Minako.
