No one's POV

Steven and the gems started walking out of the house but then the gems saw who Steven's friend was.

"You didn't say we would be helping a monster!" Pearl whispered yelled at Steven.

"Ah come on Pearl! He looks so sad!" Steven pleaded Pearl, she looked over and saw Sans just watching the water and holding the red scarf. Garnet then moved her shades up a bit.

"I do see him happier in the future." Garnet said, then Amethyst and Steven did the puppy eyes and Pearl couldn't take it.

"Alright, alright." She said, the two jumped for joy as they made there way down.

"Sans, this is Pearl, Garnet and Amethyst." Steven said to Sans while pointing to the gems. "Pearl, Garnet and Amethyst, this is Sans the skeleton." Steven said.

"Hello." Pearl said.

"Yo." Amethyst said and made a peace sign with her fingers. Garnet just waved at him, Sans waved back.

"So, we get ten tries right?" Steven asked.

"Yup, go ahead." Sans said as he sat down. 

"Hey Pearl, what's this?" Amethyst asked as Steven set up a chair and put a whoopee cushion on the chair.

"A rock, what else would it be?" Pearl said, but then the rock shook of sand on it's self and jumped on Pearl's face. "AH! GET IT OFF GET IT OFF GET IT OFF!" Pearl yelled until she fell face first into the sand. "AMETHYST!" Pearl yelled once she got the sand off her face.

"That's my cue." Amethyst said as she flew off in her owl form. This only made sans smirk a bit, then Pearl got tired of running after Amethyst and sat down on the chair. All but Sans and Garnet laughed as they heard a loud and long fart noise. "Nice one Steven." Amethyst said and gave him a fist bump.

"That was good." Sans said as all the gems turned to him. "But now you got eight tries." He said, Steven thought for a moment and then looked at Pearl and Garnet. He whispered something in there ears.

"Are you sure? Most of the stuff she does is only funny to her." Pearl said, Steven did the puppy dog eyes again and Pearl sighed. "Only if your okay with it." Pearl said to Garnet.

"I'm fine with it." She said and they walked away.

"Okay, why did the skeleton cross the road?' Steven asked once he sat infront of Sans.

"I don't know." Sans said.

"Because he had no guts!" Steven said, Sans smirked at the joke. Amethyst and Steven tried to do some funny things but then they only had two tries left. "Let's leave the last ones for Sardonyx." Steven said to Amethyst, who nodded in agreement.

"Did someone call my name?" A familiar voice said from above.

"Okay, that's new." Sans said as he stood next to them. They all looked up to see the one and only Sardonyx. She jumped down and stood infront of them.

"My, my, my! We have a new member for the audience!" Sardonyx said as she held out her hand to Sans, who stepped on it. "I've heard your a tough skull to crack when it comes to jokes!" She said and snickered a bit, Sans did the same thing. "Since now we only have one try left, why not give us a hint about what jokes you like." Sardonyx said, Sans thought for a bit.

"I like bad jokes, but your friend down there already told me one." Sans said as he pointed to Steven. Sardonyx thought for a bit.

"Maybe you don't need someone who's good with jokes, maybe you need someone who's funny in general, like..." Sardonyx said and then Steven's front door was kicked open by Peridot.

"STEVEN!" She yelled and made her way to Steven. "ME AND LAPIS SAW A SKELETON! HE WON"T LEAVE US ALONE!" Peridot yelled and ran into a circle and then saw Sans. "OH NO! THE EARTH IS FULL OF THEM!" She said and thought for a moment. "WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE!" She yelled and fell to the floor, Sans snickered.

"Hey Peridot. Why did the skeleton cross the road." Steven asked with a smile.

"Steven, this isn't the time for y-"

"Because he didn't have the guts to!" Steven said, interrupting Peridot.

"STEVEN!" She yelled, Sans then exploded with laughter. "OH NO! IT HAS POWERS, RUNAWAY!" Peridot yelled, making Sans cry from laughter. Peridot then yelped in fright. "THERE"S THE CLOD!" She yelled and pointed at the shadows, Sans sighed and saw where Peridot was pointing. But only a skeleton hand with a hole in it appeared. "Well, I guess part of him." She said, Sans stopped laughing and stared at the hand.

"Um, Sans, you okay buddy?" Steven asked when he saw Sans, Sardonyx set Sans down and unfused.

"What did the skeleton look like?" He asked Peridot.

"Why should I answer you, CLOD!" Peridot yelled and hid behind Steven.

"It's okay Peridot, Sans's a friend." Steven said, Peridot looked at Sans.

"He does look less creepy than the other one, and is speaking a language I understand." She said, Sans walked to the skeleton hand and looked at it.

"You said this was following you?" Sans asked, Peridot nodded."What did the language he was speaking sound like?" He asked, Peridot thought for a moment.

"Like a weird noise, it reminded me of a gurgling noise." She said, Sans looked at the hand.

"Was it just following you?" Sans asked.

"Kinda, it's been trying to shot me with bones though." Peridot said, then a large bone appeared by her. "SEE?!" She yelled, Sans smacked the hand.

"Not Chara." Sans said to the hand while pointing at Peridot. "She is a friend." Sans said, the hand moved closer to Peridot and patted her hair. It made a weird gurgling noise again and teleported away.

"I think it was saying something." Steven said and looked at the other gems, they had no idea.

"He said sorry." Sans said, they all looked at him. "It's a language us skeleton's speak, but Gaster kinda forgot how to speak in English." Sans said and yawned. "Welp, I'm going to sleep." Sans said and laid on the sand.

"But it's the middle of the day, at least go and sleep on the couch." Pearl said, but Sans was already snoring away. "Talk about a pile of lazybones." Pearl said as Garnet picked up Sans and they all walked inside. She put Sans on the couch and went to the burning chamber.

"Were just letting him stay here now?" Amethyst asked Pearl.

"I'm sure if he even has a home." Pearl said.

"When I found him, he was by the light house. He also said that Gaster guy brought him here." Steven said.

"Okay, but why?" Amethyst asked, Steven thought for a minute.

"I don't know. Even if he told us, we wouldn't know." Steven said, unaware that Gaster was watching Sans from the shadows.
