It had been about three months since Calum and Chelsea found out the baby's sex and had decided on a name. She was now seven months and one week along. They had been shopping around periodically, and the baby's nursery was nearly ready. A few things still needed done, like the assembly of the crib, but overall, everything was prepared. Chelsea finished up her Cinnamon Toast Crunch and placed the empty bowl into the sink when she heard the doorbell ring. Michael was at work, and she knew Wendy was out of town. She also thought Calum told her he was going to a job interview at a music shop today, so she had absolutely no idea who could have been at the door.

She dragged herself to the door, and she opened it to find the absolute last person she expected.

"Whoa... Uh, hi," she said, shocked.

"Can I come in?"

Chelsea backed away and pulled the door open a little wider, enough to let Luke in.

"How's the baby?" Luke asked, as the two of them headed into the living room. They took a seat on the couch, with Chelsea being on one end and Luke on the other.

"She's good."

"Oh, so it's a girl?"

Chelsea nodded.

"Have you decided on what to name her?"

She nodded again. "Calum and I decided on Cordelia Eden."

Luke smiled. "That's pretty."

"Yeah.."

The two of them fell into an uncomfortable silence, until Chelsea asked the question that was burning in her mind.

"Not to be rude, but, uh.. What are you doing here, Luke?"

Luke sighed and ran a hand through his hair.

"I miss you, Chelsea. I don't know how else to put it."

"I miss you, too.." She replied instantly. However, when she started thinking about it, did she really miss him? Sure, the first few weeks were tough without him, but now she had Calum. She never really paid attention to Luke's absence in her life.

"I've been thinking a lot.. And I forgive you for what happened. I want you back, Chelsea. I'm, like, lost without you. I love you so goddamn much, and being without you hurts. I'm willing to do whatever it takes. I'll take care of Cordelia, and you. I can be her dad."

Chelsea shook her head. "But, Calum's Cordelia's dad."

"I meant to say stepdad. What do you say? Can we try again?"

Chelsea's head was swimming. She wanted to be able to say yes right away and allow Luke to come back in and sweep her off her feet. She wanted to take Luke into her arms and kiss him, something she couldn't remember the feeling of. She wanted to say she loved him.

But she just couldn't.

Something was different than before.

Luke reached over and took Chelsea's hand, running his thumb over her fingers. "Are you alright?" He asked.

Chelsea nodded. "Yeah, uh--"

Before she could finish, she heard the ringing of the doorbell. She quickly got up and rushed to the front door, eager to get away from the awkward situation.

Chelsea opened the door to a bouquet of white roses in front of the face of a dark-haired boy. A smile immediately appeared on her cheeks, but faded quickly when she heard footsteps from the other side of her.

"Chelsea, who is it?" Luke asked, but stopped dead in his tracks when he saw Calum. "Oh."

"What's Luke doing here?" Calum lowered the roses and looked at Chelsea, confused.

Chelsea looked back and forth between the two, not sure what to say. Suddenly, a sharp pain struck her stomach, causing her to double over. She placed her hands on her stomach.

"Fuck," she screamed. Calum and Luke both hurried to her side, each taking one arm to balance her.

"W-what's wrong with her?" Luke stuttered, his eyes double their normal size.

"I don't know.. She's only seven months. We have to get her to the hospital."

Chelsea looked up. "I-I don't have the h-h-hospital bag packed-d." She said through clenched teeth.

"I'll do it. Luke, drive her there. I'll meet you guys."

"No, Calum, don't l-leave me," Chelsea cried, taking Calum's hand in her own and squeezing. Tears were running down her cheeks.

"I have to pack a bag in case you're having the baby, Chelsea."

"P-please don't. I n-n-need you."

Calum sighed, but pulled the girl close to him. "Luke, go in Chelsea's room and pack her clothes. Get comfy stuff; sweatpants, sweaters, hoodies, t-shirts. Then, go in the room next to hers, the nursery, and get clothes for the baby in case we need them. Get the ones with tags that say newborn. We'll be at the hospital. Call Michael, too, and let him know what's happening."

Luke nodded and ran toward the girl's room as Calum lifted Chelsea into his arms and led her out to his car. Calum quickly put the car into gear and flew out of the parking lot, heading to the hospital at least fifteen over the speed limit.
