As soon as Chelsea and Calum got to the emergency room, the nurses placed the girl in a wheelchair and immediately put her in a room. They hooked her up to tons of machines, all which made various noises and beeps.
"What's happening to her?" Calum asked one nurse, who was checking the one machine that checked the heartbeat of the baby.
"She's going into labor. That pain she's feeling? Those are her contractions." The nurse explained.
"But she's two months early..?"
The nurse nodded. "She is, and that's why we're watching her so closely. Everything seems to be going okay, but the baby is going to be very tiny, and there's a good chance both of them are going to have to stay in here for awhile."
Calum and Chelsea both nodded.
"We'll come by soon to give you your epidural."
The nurse checked everything else, and told Chelsea she was four centimeters dilated before leaving the room.
"Thank you for coming here with me, Calum." Chelsea smiled over at him.
"It's the least I could do."
"Can I, uh, talk to you about something?" She asked, almost hesitantly.
"Of course, Chels, anything."
"Uh, Luke came over today to talk to me. And he told me that he missed me, and he wanted me back."
Calum cut her off, feeling a sharp pain in his chest. "Oh. That's good. I'm glad you guys are back together."
"No, no, wait, that's not what I wanted to say--" Chelsea tried to explain herself, to describe how she really felt, but as she spoke, Michael, Luke, Wendy, and Ashton all came through the door.
"Chelsea, what the hell?" Michael cried. "Luke called me and told me that something was wrong. Are you okay? What happened?"
Chelsea looked over at Calum, who was sitting in the chair next to her bed, his focus somewhere other than her, and she felt a pain inside her. Other than the pushing of the baby, she felt as if she hurt him a lot, and that bothered her more than anything.
"Chels?" Michael said again.
"Sorry," she said, shaking her head. "I don't know what happened, but, uh, we're having a baby today."
"Is that healthy?" Her brother asked, carefully taking a seat on the edge of Chelsea's bed.
She shrugged. "I don't know. I'm, like, two months early. The nurse said everything was looking fine, but she might be really little. We might have to stay here for awhile."
"Do you know when you're supposed to actually have her?"
"Fuck," Chelsea hissed, grabbing onto her brother's hand and squeezing as she felt another contraction. "I don't know, but I hope it's fucking soon."

"So, you're ten centimeters dilated. We're gonna start pushing soon. Is anyone staying in the room?" Dr. Tucker, who had just arrived moments before, asked as she pulled gloves over her hands.
"I'll go get Luke." Calum grumbled as he walked toward the door.
"Get the fuck back here, Calum Hood." Chelsea demanded.
"Don't you want your boyfriend?"
"He isn't my fucking boyfriend!" She screamed in frustration, and a little bit out of pain, too. "Don't you get it? I don't like him, and I don't want to do this without you!"
"Chelsea, I see the baby, we need to start pushing now. Who's helping deliver this baby?"
Calum quickly pulled the paper scrubs over his body and put on the gloves. "I am."
"Well, get over here, there's a baby coming, and she isn't waiting for anyone."

A few minutes later, after a lot of screaming and swearing, Calum had a tiny human in his arms. Cordelia Eden Hood, four pounds and six ounces, 17 inches long. Much to the surprise of the doctor and nurses staff, Cordelia couldn't be healthier. The nurses had taken the baby to clean her off and wrap her up before handing her to her father. Calum could feel the tears building in his eyes as he looked down at her and heard her tiny cries.
"Get over here," Chelsea said softly, her voice tiresome. Cal carried the baby over and laid her in Chelsea's hands, setting her carefully on her chest.
Chelsea immediately began weeping, the smile on her face wider than Calum had ever seen it. "Oh, my god. She's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen."
"She looks like you," Calum said, laying a hand on Chelsea's shoulder.
"Remember how I wanted to talk to you earlier?"
Calum nodded.
"I wanted to tell you that--"
"I heard there's a little baby that has an uncle anxious to meet her!" Michael's voice filled the room, again interrupting Chelsea.
Chelsea forced a smile. "She's over here. You wanna hold her?"
Michael nodded eagerly, taking the small baby out of his sister's hands. "God, she's gorgeous."
"You wanna take her out to meet Wendy and Ashton and Luke?"
"Can I?"
"Yeah. But don't break her," Chelsea chuckled, and much to her relief, Michael left her alone with Calum.
"Before anyone at all interrupts me again, I'm going to come right out and say it." She said once she could no longer hear his footsteps. "Calum Hood, I am in love with you."
Calum's jaw dropped. "Wh-what?"
"I said, Calum, I'm in love with you."
"Are you sure? You don't love Luke?"
"I'm positive."
He smiled and slid his fingers between hers. "Well, that's good, because Chelsea Clifford, I'm in love with you, too."
