Ah, yes. Heather did become a major player in everyone's life. Even I was thrown off by the new red head. Another Blossom? What did we ever do to deserve this? Except, she isn't all bad. She isn't bad at all, in fact. She was able to do something no one before could: tame Sweet Pea. Not even his ex girlfriend had that power. The serpents started as a group of four, and that group of four multiplied to eight and along the way we picked up four more. It's funny how life works like that. We were close to being extinct, and part of our comeback has to do with the poor girl who keeps being attacked.

This certainly isn't the end of Riverdale's story. Perhaps, it is only a section taken out and inspected with a little magnifying glass. Hell, maybe this will be useful in Betty's next mission. You can take your pick on what the Serpents will be dragged into next. Still, each of us will pull on our jackets and race into it for the greater good. For teenagers, we really are the only Calvary this town will ever know. The adults are far too wrapped up in their climb to the top for power, money, and whatever else adults crave. Their children come to the rescue and they are non the wiser. Yet, the Serpents are still considered the lowest of the low despite having snagged the most well known and loved northsiders.

Heather? She's doing good. The sleepover girls night plus Kevin apparently has secrets that will never be let out into the world. Betty tried once to tell me and it's like they all knew and swarmed her. I guess that night will forever remain a mystery. The guy's night was much more transparent. The girls had guessed how the night went correctly within the first five minutes of returning. We shared some beers and sat around a fire awkwardly while some of us tried to talk about bikes and serpent business and some others of us tried to talk about football. Does that mean we are friends now? I'm not sure but it seems like it since Reggie and Josie have joined us on several occasions when we go out looking for evidence and clues. Soon, they will go through initiation and I'll be able to call them official Serpents. Enough of that, though. This section of the story is about Heather,

Heather's parents were arrested and shipped out of state to go to a prison closer to their home. At the court date, Heather showed up with a serpents jacket and Sweet Pea on her arm. Retelling it, she acted like it was funny to see their reaction but I know it bothered her. No matter what, they are her parents and they gave her a wonderful life, keeping her innocent of their acts.

She did move in with Sweet Pea. They say it's unofficial but since that day, she has spent the night at Thornhill once. And that was for the sleepover. She has proven very helpful. In pursuit of the Gargoyle King, she emerged herself into the search and only managed to be attacked directly once. Sweet Pea coddles her now. Since they started dating, they have given all of us a run for our money with being the IT couple. Betty says it'll pass, but she's a tad jealous. I personally don't care. I have more to worry about than status. We all do.

Heather becoming a Serpent has proven to be positive in many aspects. She is dauntless and capable of going into any situation, as long as Sweet Pea approves or doesn't know. She has created a bridge for Reggie and the Serpents to become friends. She has tamed Sweet Pea, too. He hardly ever flies off the handles anymore and is generally easy going, you know, in his hard badass way.

That list of characters from the beginning? I guess it's time to add a couple more because as it seems, Heather, Sweet Pea, and even Reggie will be the rise and maybe even downfall of many things in Riverdale, much like everyone else in this god forsaken town.

The first character to add will be Sweet Pea. My old friend Sweet Pea has been a Serpent by heart ever since he stumbled into the Wyrm, dirty and hungry with nowhere safe to rest. At first, dad took him in. And then he sort of became the entire group's child. The elder, now retired, Serpents would take turns. Every week, he'd go spend some time with a new family. He had a rough past, that's for sure. His mother died and his father couldn't handle it and took it out on the poor boy. He had no choice but to run. Jordan didn't exactly open up to us, though. The tough case was very firm in that his name is Sweet Pea and he didn't, scratch that, doesn't need help. It's kind of funny that he was almost Serpent King had I not stepped up. I asked him the other day if he was bitter for how we finished raising him, but he was quick to stop me. He encountered so many great people who taught him survival and family and once he was 16, we presented him with his own trailer to live in. Maybe not ideal but the Serpents owned it and now it's in his name. I'm glad my brother could be a part of us.

Reggie will be the next, only because by default I've known him longer than Heather. Reggie is a real piece of work. He really is the hotheaded jock everyone expects. He goes into things head on without thinking of the consequences. He is stubborn and persistent in anything he does, including his short-lived vendetta against the Serpents, and more specifically me. He was perhaps the last person I would have ever expected to become a Serpent, official or not. He didn't care about freedoms or political matters as long as they are in his favor. He didn't care about other people's feelings. And he certainly wasn't fond of any sort of mud in his personal private town where everyone idolizes him. However, he's proved he is more than his past and he stood with us when we needed it. So we will stand with him.

Heather is the final character for now. A typical privileged and sheltered Blossom, what more did we expect when she rolled up to Thornhill? Her predisposition about gangs and southsiders only became stronger when the gullible and immature Reggie started whispering in her ear. It didn't last long, however. Multiple inconveniences left her needing us and more so Sweet Pea to help her. Perhaps all of those philosophers were right about fate. She was in the places she was meant to be and because of it, she is changed. She is a quick learner of all things Riverdale. With a quick rundown, Betty had her caught up on everything that had happened in the town since Jason Blossom's death and I think Betty may have found herself a new detective buddy. Heather is a sneaky one, thats for sure. But Ronnie will always be the best friend of my girl. Heather's got a lot of support now, which I know she needs with her parents being sent away. She'll survive, though. Shes got Serpent blood now. She is definitely right where she belongs.

Unfortunately, it seems like Riverdale and all of its occupants have shitty fate.

Well, until next time.

I close my laptop with a smile. Another section completed. Even if I don't become a famous author with this story, the town of Riverdale will have it documented so that maybe the future generation won't make the same mistakes.

Sirens ring out throughout the entire town, causing me to shuffle to my feet and exit the diner. The Serpents look around as red flickers off buildings and trees tall enough to catch its path. And for the first time in the history of Riverdale, we enter a county wide lockdown.

Guess I'll be getting back to that story sooner than I though.
