I don't know how long I am sitting there before my phone starts to buzz across the room. I can't see the caller ID but it doesn't matter. I need help.

"Hey, Google! Answer!" I shout and the buzzing stops. I can't hear anything but then I remember it's across the room "Hey google speakerphone!" I demand. Shouting comes over the phone and I sigh in relief.

"Heather? Where are you?" Cheryl's panicked voice tears through the phone.

"I don't know. Some warehouse. He's going to kill me." I warn them.

"Betty, I need you to trace the phone!" I hear Cheryl's demand.

"Give me the phone." A voice says. "Are you hurt?" Sweet Pea speaks next.

"My stitches are torn. The wire is cutting through my skin. Hurry, please. He left a while ago and said he would be back in an hour.  I don't have long."

"Betty has the location. Distract him! We are on the way!" Toni shouts and hangs up just in time for an engine to pull into the driveway. I wait nervously for the light on my phone to go off and the door opens. It still hasn't gone off. His boots pound on the floor with my heartbeat, coming closer and closer. The light is still on. He walks in and I shout at him.

"Hey!" He looks at me with a raised eyebrow.

"I was just wondering... what does my dad have to do with any of this?" I ask him.

"Your dad, precious child, was the sniper." He sneers and I wince. Wrong question. He looks around and thankfully, the screen has timed out.

"I'm sorry. This is just so hard to process." I never thought my parents would be in this mess." I sigh.

"I never thought my son would be shot because of a few missed payments."

"I'm sorry."

"Sorry won't fix it."

"Neither will killing me." I try to reason.

"It's a start." He says. He aims the gun at me and I panic.

"You'll get caught!"

"They didn't." He counters.

"They have money," I say.

"I'll figure it out. I don't care if I rot in jail as long as they pay."

"We can make them pay. Please, we can get them arrested." I plead.

"It's too late for that." He says. He points the gun at my head and cocks it. I clench my eyes shut and start to cry. The glass in the window in the room shatters and Jughead slides through it. Serpents circle him.

"Put the gun down." Jughead demands. They all bear their knives. The gun drops to the floor. Fangs picks it up and bashes the handle against the guy's head, successfully knocking him out. "Guys, split up. Look around for any identification or motive." The serpents pan out but Sweet Pea drops to his knees in front of me. He undoes the wires around my feet and I finally stretch out my legs. He moves to the one around my torso and then gets to the one holding my hands back. I bring them around and rub them. They sting. Sweet Pea kneels in front of me and strokes my cheek softly.

"You have got to quit getting yourself in these situations." He laughs softly but tears coat my eyelashes. "Hey, I'm kidding. I've got you, Princess." He whispers, pulling me into a hug.

"I know why he did this."

"Why?'

"My parents killed his son over some stupid money. My parents are killers. He just wanted to get even." I cry.
