Final Chapter

Kael's POV

"Hey, what's up?" Bati ni Paul nang maabutan akong nasa pool area ng bahay niya.

Paul's house is a good place to be alone and think alone.

Tahimik at payapa.

I looked at him and raised the glass of beer I am holding.

"Patambay." I said.

"What's wrong?" Tanong niya.

I just shrugged and continued drinking.

Paul just stand there and said nothing anymore. My best friend knew me well.

For these past few weeks, I can't even have enough hours of sleep.

I'm losing all my mood, getting frustrated, and just wanting to punch someone's face right now.

After a few minutes, I heard another person entering the area.

It's Sherlyn, Paul's soon to be wife.

"Bakit ang aga mo umuwi?" Sherlyn asking Paul.

"Tumawag sa opisina ko at nandito raw iyan." Paul answered.

Sherlyn looked at me.

She's looking as if she's also studying me.

"Ano'ng problema, Kael?" She finally asked me.

I didn't answer her.

How will I answer that anyway? I don't even know how to tell and explain them what's bothering me for a few weeks now. I put the empty glass of beer on the table and took the whole bottle instead.

"Uy Pre, hindi mo naman siguro balak gawing bar itong bahay ko? Limited lang ang alak ko rito?" Paul said.

"Tsssk. Kaya nga ako nandito kasi libre lang. hindi mababawasan ang yaman ko." I forced myself to pull a joke.

"Bahala ka. Kapag naubos lahat ng stock ko rito sa bahay, iyang tubig sa swimming pool ang ipapainom ko sa iyo."

I slightly smiled and continued to drink.

"Bakit bigla ka yatang nagkakaganyan, Kael?" Sherlyn asked me again.

"Seryoso naman ako sa kanya eh."

I saw both of them looked puzzle.
