My own two cents thoughts that are not a part of the story – (This should be obvious, but whatever.)

Note that certain usages are simply used for emphasizing a certain word, sentence, or statement... please utilize your reading comprehension skills for this as I will not use time where I could continue the story to instead explain it for you.

Alex Pov:

I finally made up my mind to talk to James... not just because I still haven't made up like Sam wants me to, but because of the feeling I got from Parrot man a while back. Something tells me that he has found a reason to suspect my allegiance is not with this base. But to pull off what I have planned I need help. So with that in mind, I silently enter James's room

"Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely," James says out loud... I don't think he's talking to me, though.

... He does realize he's talking out loud, right? Still, I suppose our worlds are actually quite similar in that regard. What with the likes of Team Rocket and their ilk. But I need to grab his attention so I just do what comes naturally...

"Nice use of Calm Mind... or is it Nasty Plot?" I say said tapping on his shoulder, "I never can tell with you. Either way, you got a sec?"

He sends one of his glares my way, ooh chills. My fur is actually standing on end here! Intriguing...

"Why are you here right now trying to bother me?" he asks with his teeth... fangs? clenched apparently trying to keep a hold of his temper, and the floating objects around us came crashing down to the floor.

"It's nothing just want to clear the air between us so to speak." I state in what I hope is a serious tone, "I think we may have gotten off on the wrong foot... or is it paw now? Whatever you get what I'm saying right?"

Still glaring at me... Seriously what did I ever do to this guy to make him want to kill me with that look?!

Finally, he responds with: "Why are you here...? Seriously, I'm about to shove you into a Black Hole."

... HOW CAN HE LOOK SO CUTE AND SO SCARY AT THE SAME TIME DAMNIT!!! ... oh, right Mew, duh...

"Ignoring the fact that what you said is highly improbable, I have reason to believe something is up here..." I pause to ensure it is safe to continue.

I continue to wait as he goes silent. At this point, I have my back to him... if he kills me, I don't want to know about it until afterward. Seriously Mew is supposed to be cute and cuddly, if not a major prankster. He may be cute, but cuddly is a HELL NO and his pranks... I shudder at the thought, so please don't remind me.

After a bit, he hovers back in front of me.

"So... can I continue or are you going to hit me?" I say completely oblivious to whatever made James quiet before shutting the door... crap he is going to kill me isn't he?!

"I'll probably let you continue-"

'Not going to kill me? Good.'

"-but as soon as you do, I'll hit you until your dead-"
