I found myself daydreaming yet again; lying in my bed and listening to music, I was thinking about him more than I should've. I also knew it was wrong of me to do so, but I never could control it; I always had a soft spot for my stepfather's brother.

Ever since I first laid my eyes on Quincy, I knew I'd end up here; crazy about him. When my mother's new husband William moved in, she hosted a small welcome get together in our backyard. We barbecued, had a few drinks with a little music and all that. I genuinely had a good time, despite it being a rather older crowd; I just graduated high school and will be attending college this fall. I was about to secretly spike my lemonade with some vodka when the world stopped turning; I noticed a handsome man I haven't seen around before. Soon enough, I found out who he is. My eyes were practically glued to him but I kept my composure when William introduced us.

"Q! This here is Mia's daughter Leah." William proudly stood beside me, as the man of dark coffee complexion stuck his relatively big hand out to me.

"Nice meeting you Leah, you can call me Quincy."

His firm grip imprinted in my skin and I felt it for days. Even though I kept more to myself, being in charge of refills and making sure there was always food on the table, he somehow found his way to me. There was some innocent flirting that unfortunately led nowhere. I wanted to know more about him but asking Will or my mother was out of the question. I'm a bad liar and they would know. So I looked him up on facebook.

Quincy Hanley

He was on top of all the hits. I took my time and checked his profile.
Single.
Perfect.
October 26, 1986.
He's 33? Well then, he doesn't even look that old.
I had no problem with the age gap.
It's only 14 years.
Besides, I was always on the more mature side, very grown, especially mentally and emotionally; that is why I'm much more attracted to slightly older guys. Noticing we have a lot of likes in common, I was already making a list of possible ice breaking conversations.

I noticed he owns a coffee brewery in the city; interesting.

Summer was in full swing, July started off hot but that's just the way I like it.
I drove to the city one afternoon in order to grab a cup of coffee and possibly score a date with Quincy or at least something.

I found it via google maps, slowy pushing the glass door, stepping in.
He was nowhere to be seen.

I was looking around, finding the decor and colors very cosy.

Stopping by the counter I was waiting for someone to come from the back; then I heard his voice.
"Be right out!"
