Aubrielle Marino

10:39am

"In total you were due to an inheritance of at least $100 million worth of stocks, property, jewelry and cash with the company included. Also apart of that are 3 accounts one being his business account, another his personal and the third being a college fund set up for you since you were born"

"A college fund?" I asked Brian, my dad's lawyer "I went to school on scholarships"

"Well I did look into everything last night and it seems the money was starting to be withdrawn over the past few months in groups of thousands"

"That's probably what she was paying for the wedding with" Jessie told me and I shook my head

"Wowwww. How come I was never told any of this by NOBODY. Shit, Brian you came to all of my graduations, birthday parties and you ain't mentioned it to me"

"Well in my defense your mom said she told you. And she WAS supposed to legally inform you about it"

"Well ILLEGALLY, she didn't" I told him as I sat up in my seat "and I'm pretty sure you was invited to the wedding too"

"I did get an invite and I asked her were you sure you wanted to do that, being that you would lose you inheritance. She said she tried to talk to you about it but you were too head over heels in love"

"Head over heels my ass. Aubri ain't that stupid to pass up all that for no nigga" Jessie spoke up and I laughed a little before looking at Brian

"So where do I go from here? Cause obviously I kept my end of the deal. I graduated college and I'm NOT getting married. Then I'll be 23 in 2 months so..."

"Well, I'm pretty sure you won't run off and get married within the next two months so how about this" he closed the folder that held all the papers and stuff "we can go ahead and get the papers together for you to start signing to transfer all of the property, the company and stock in your name that way once your birthday hits everything will be done"

"That sounds good to me"

Brian smiled and nodded "great! And as far as the money.. I really don't see it being a big deal if I just go ahead and cut you your checks now"

Once he said that Jessie looked at me. I rested my arms on the table

"Might as well. Especially since I gotta start over now"

"With all the money you bout to get you can buy a new life and start over" Jessie joked. Brian yet again nodded

"Okay then. Let me run out real quick and I'll be back shortly with your checks"

"Thank you Brian"

He let off a warm smile, the same comforting smile he always gave me whenever he saw me all of these years

"It's no problem Aubrielle"

"I'm salty as hell girl. You got more in your bank account in one day than I'll get in my whole damn life" Jessie told me as she sprinkled seasoned salt over the fries I had just finished cooking. I laughed and grabbed one out the bowl

"And all that money probably gone do is build up, especially when the I get this company in my name"

"You gone let auntie still keep her lil position or what?"

"She'll have A position. Just not that one"

Jessie laughed while eating a fry "I bet so... so you and Kentrell, what's going on with that?"
