The more I made myself open to all possibilities and believed in my mind that I can do anything I put my mind to, I started to discover more things that I could do.
For example; one day, during my senior year of high school, I was in art class and I decided to sketch a friend of mine. At first it started off as a joke, then I was like "WOAH!" It was actually pretty good. That was the time I truly amazed myself. Now I do sketches on commissions.Another example; is when I decided to knit, (that was supposed to also be a joke) then I made a whole bag! I was like wow, the saying really works!
After seeing what I was capable of, I always looked forward to trying new things, especially things people are afraid to do or things people say I cannot do. I've taken sewing classes, I've learned Spanish, Japanese, French, I've even tried to learn Portuguese but that didn't work out. Only because I was inconsistent with that one.
If I could do anything I put my mind to, so can you! We all have a mind, and we should all put it to good use. Don't worry about people not encouraging you, half of the time they are just sad, because they don't have the courage to take a leap like you can!
Remember, misery loves company!
